It's actually a good thing because:

I really love vanity, cute pets, and mounts...idk, like, I can see it being a big draw for people like me. But real life money ughhh.
But would I rather have it be a 1% drop rate from 8-man content or a cash shop? Hmmmmm.
Too many people assuming what will happen as if they've gone to the future and confirmed it themselves. Shut up you whiny babies.
*clears throat* VOTE WITH YOUR WALLET!!!!!!!!!!!!! *walks out*
I'm personally fine with the decision. I, for one have every plan to buy out the minions, mount, artbook, and plushie asap, might get the seasonal gear eventually, maybe. Not too big on the seasonal stuff really though
Extra retainers, Fantasia, gear vanity and exclusive mounts, all of that makes sense in a b2p game, but not a sub based game.
Sorry but no, I don't know how some of you can defend that, this game wants the benefit of being b2p while still charging us for our sub.
I understand the decision from a business perspective. They need to make money, and the more they make allows them to reinvest into XIV itself. However, I can't deny I find this disappointing even if it's not pay to win. These are items that could have been placed into the game itself for players to earn. It is more of material to satiate people with too much money on their hands.

Yes please stop saying meany mean things, buy your minions today cheap cheap!

Micro transactions its what current day gaming is all about.

"It's okay it's just cosmetic"
It is NOT okay, we're all paying our subscriptions here.
The more you accept this kind of garbage, the more, even worse garbage we'll end up with later on.
