Another thing? What do you guys think? How literal is the title? Might we actually visit other planes of existence during the story? Perhaps as a way to perma-kill Lahabrea and Elidibus, the two ruffians leading Ishgard?

Well, when you do the Ixali questline they have a word for their holy place in the sky. I forgot what it was now.. *grumble* but oh well. They believe in a land in the "heavens". It seems their beliefs aren't so far off.
Well the sky has been referred to as the heavens and even still does today on rare occasion, so perhaps Heavensward means Skyward, which could mean we are going after something in the sky. But that is only a guess.
Oh hey nothing was here
Don't think it qualifies as a guess when it's been explicitly said we are actually doing just that. Since floating continent and all.
I feel safer calling it a guess so I dont accidentally put my foot in my mouth, and it is Final fantasy after all. For all we know the "Floating continent" could be floating underground and the airships we are going to be able to make are flying diggers! Not likely but could happen! Maybe!

That's not really going well with Heavensward or Azure Skies of Ishgard if it's underground...I feel safer calling it a guess so I dont accidentally put my foot in my mouth, and it is Final fantasy after all. If a train can be suplexed then a sky can be underground! Im only saying Final fantasy is not always 100% straightforward, I was just saying it in a stupid way. Its also called trying to be funny but obviously Im not.
Oh hey nothing was here
It was funny in your head, and ain't that what matters?
(it ain't)
well i think it is called Heavensward for a reason..
Ishgard is referred as a "holy city" which is governed by an archbishop (you saw him in the end of "Through the Maelstrom" Trailer)
So i think that the story in Heavensward has something to do with that "holyness" around ishgard and the bishop
the story has much potential to itim sick of the garleans anyways^^
