As there is now a standard price for a repair material for tiers of items, what do people feel is a fair repair price?
For R5 materials I think 5.5k-7k is fair. A 1k-2.5k tip is fair though I'm curious to see what other people feel is fair.

Iv been meaning to ask this and i apologies if this is off topic and should be posted else ware. Where is the NPC located that sells dark mater? and what are the price stratification for the different grades?
I'm at work, and the little bit of time i get to play during my work week i have been doing quests and leveling ><
Edit: and another question, do you need to be certain crafting job still to repair certain items now with dark matter? and do you need to have that class to a certain rank?

I will always only pay 1K for any repairs. Idc, I'm extremely "tight" with my gil, so much in fact, that it squeaks when I walk.

Rank 1: 100 gil
Rank 2: 600 gil
Rank 3: 1,200 gil
Rank 4: 3,000 gil (don't remember)
Rank 5: 4,400 gil (may be off slightly)

Never been concerned with fair, as gil was/is so easy to get it really didn't matter. It all came down to how quickly I wanted something repaired. So what I'd do it offer 5-8k gil for something I wanted repaired right away, but only 1-2k gil for something that could wait.
For instance if I was playing my MRD and my Axe broke, but I still wanted to continue playing MRD and not another class, I'd go stand by the repair NPC in Ul'dah with a 7k offer and it'd get fixed within 3-10min every time, but the lesser not so important items for 1-2k would take a few hours.
Thank you ^^
and i edited my last post with anew question too

Yes you still have to be a weaver to repair cloth gear and such only change is universal repair mats. Also you have to be within 5 levels of the item you are repairing I believe. but its 100% success rate if you meet the reqs.

you have to be 10 levels apart, not 5.
This is what I pay :P
R1: 1000 gil
R2: 3500 gil
R3: 6000 gil
R4: 10,000 gil
R5: 15,000 gil
But I don't have any R3+ stuff that needs repairs yet

Personally, I would rather people just put up the required grade of Dark Matter as a reward. But then, I'm not one to go around repairing items for profit.
