Burning Questions, Round One: It's Mostly About The Five Races

This is not going to be coherent. This is not going to be remotely coherent.
    • Why are Padjali children only born to Hyur parents, and not Elezen? And why, for that matter, are they more commonly born to certain families? It seems all very odd.
    • In the description for Aloe, it is mentioned as being a plant native to the continent of Meracydia, and used in Miqo'te folk medicine. Additionally, the only recipe it is useful for in-game is a type of miq'abob that is a traditional Seeker of the Sun dish. In the backstory provided for the Miqo'te, it is mentioned that they migrated from a southern continent during the ice age of the Fifth Umbral Era. Does this mean that Meracydia is the native homeland of the Miqo'te? And does this mean that when the Allagan empire attempted to conquer the continent and were met by resistance from native peoples summoning primals, that these people might have been Miqo'te?
    • What language does "Sagolii" come from?

    CONTINUED:
    • We now know that "De Nevelle" and "La Thagran" are taken from the names of Elezen explorers. Are "La Noscea" and "Costa del Sol" also originally Elezen turns of phrase? If not, who coined them? For that matter- is Vylbrand, like it sounds, a Roegadyn name for the island? What about Limsa Lominsa? It sounds Lalafell in origin.
    • Jandelaine's noble house is mentioned as being related to House Dzemael, if somewhat distantly. We're also aware that Dzemael's attempts to avoid the worst of Dravanian destruction involved digging deep into caverns to build shelter. Of course, we never see anybody from Dzemael itself. The burning question is: are the members of Dzemael Duskwight Elezen? Or are Jandelaine and Guillfresne only of the greyer persuasion of Elezen because of intermarriage? Additionally, does this ultimately mean that there is less of a divide between Duskwight and Wildwood in Coerthas, culturally, than there is in the Black Shroud?

    CONTINUED CONTINUED:
    • In the cases of the leadership of the Immortal Flames and Maelstrom, we see vocal criticism and opposition at times. Raubahn and Nanamo are besieged by the powerful monetarists of the Syndicate and struggle to maintain control of the Sultanate, while Merlwyb is taken to task for her ruthless treatment and betrayal of the beast tribes of La Noscea by Y'shtola during the storyline of Through the Maelstrom. But we never see any opponents or critics of Kan-E-Senna or the Twin Adders in Gridania. One can only assume she is seen less than positively by outlaws like the Redbelly Wasps and Coeurlclaw poachers, but such a thing is an informed assumption rather than a fact. Will we ever get to see less subtle cracks in the serenity of the Twelveswood than the content that appears in the Lancer and Archer questlines, or the general narrative trends of the South Shroud?

    TRIPLE CONTINUED:
    • It seems as though most of the beast tribes in Eorzea have been present in the region before any of the five playable races. The kobolds are intrinsically tied to O'Ghomoro, the sahagin to the Indigo Deep, the sylphs and moogles to the Black Shroud, and the Amalj'aa to their homeland of Paglth'an. The mamool ja, ixal, and goblins appear to be exceptions to this- the first explicitly being stated as having come to Eorzea as migrant workers in the wake of the Calamity, the second having originated in Ayatlan, and the third having a nomadic nature. So, is this an accurate assessment of things? Have the majority of beast tribes been the native peoples of Eorzea long before any Hyur, Roegadyn, Lalafell, Elezen, or Miqo'te ever showed up on the continent of Aldenard?
    • The "Sapience" leve plate depicts a scene with a qiqirn and a goobbue. Does this mean that there is a qiqirn saint?

    CONTINUALLY CONTINUED:
    • Amdapor predated the arrival of Hyur in the Black Shroud. Can one assume that the majority of its population was, in that case, Elezen? Presumably, there were a scattering of Keeper of the Moon Miqo'te there as well, but Miqo'te have always had less of a presence in Eorzea than the other races. Of course, one can assume that Nym and the unnamed third nation involved in the War of the Magi were predominantly Lalafell, Plainsfolk and Dunesfolk, respectively.

    FINALLY:
    • Why are so many depictions of the Twelve so Hyur-looking? They've been worshipped in Eorzea long since before the arrival of Hyur, have never physically manifested in a form that could be visually replicated, and even now are worshipped by a variety of people in regions where Hyur are not in the majority or prominently involved in the regional religious hierarchy. There were even references back in 1.0 to depictions of Rhalgr from the Sixth Astral Era being based on a Roegadyn archon. So why do the statues of Nald and Thal in Thanalan look like Hyur men, when the region has been controlled by Lalafell since the Fifth Astral Era at the very least? Is the statue of Llymlaen in Aleport meant to be a Roegadyn mermaid, or a Hyuran one? Does the Holy See see to it that Halone is portrayed as an Elezen? Was Nophica always seen as looking like a Hyur, or was she portrayed differently before the Hyur and Elezen made peace?

...ah, right. Erm. Barring input from void creatures, anybody with speculation, heretofore undiscovered nuggets of deeply buried canon knowledge, or other commentary should feel free to chime in on these pressing questions. This need not turn into an echoing mausoleum of unanswered questions just because I'm an idiot and didn't think to ask for feedback or thoughts from others.

As far as I know, most of your questions don't have answers beyond speculation.

Also, if you used edit on a post, you can surpass the 1000 character limit.

Unfortunately I don't think you'll get many answers because your questions are very specific and I don't think enough players pay attention to the finer details such that they'd know the answers offhand if they are, in fact, available to know within the game. Personally I read everything with few exceptions and I have absolutely no way of answering anything you wrote...
