Derplander Update (Heavens Ward Teaser)

It's been awhile since we saw our friend the CG Midlander (also affectionately called Derplander).

While we can't confirm 100% that it's him in the trailer (at least based on what I saw), since it's a fully CG trailer and it's a warrior it seems safe to assume it's our friend.

The big update on old Derplander, he discards his warrior garb and dons Dragoon armor (we are, after all, fighting dragons in the expansion ;>).

What happened to the rest of his party? Were the Coil lockouts too much for his static to handle? On a serious note, the trailer revealed a new BEEFY Bravua/soon-to-be-named-axe?

Edit: I like the class change, really helps play up the ability in the game. Also another speculation for when we go to Ala Mhigo and he changes to a Monk.

Main theme music or not, this is what I've got out of the theme so far:

Only the last four words of the third line, and first word of the fourth line, do I have any doubts about. I don't think I'll contribute much to guessing at lore from this song, but it certainly sounds very Ishgardian, what with souls going Heavensward (to Halone's Hall), and the talk of only one path.

Sounded awful to me too. Very shrieky :/ like if someone was jabbing Susan Calloway with pointy sticks while she was belting out Answers.
