Perfect find. That is all the more reason to have a story mode Coil. In the future, hopefully SE will catch on and make above average difficultly raids separate from story. It's rather interesting to note, that only 7.4% of all players on PS3/PS4 have beat T5 (as that's the percentage of PSN FFXIV accounts that have the trophy for doing so). I'd imagine numbers for PC are pretty similar.
Given that abysmal number, is it any wonder that people want a "Story-Mode"? Coil will still be for the top 10% of players, just with that mode it lets the other 90% at least experience the lore.
No idea as I've not got any sale numbers to check. But, even if you assume that PSN accounts for half the number of accounts (I'll bet it's more frankly) you're looking at about 1.15M people, of whom less than 100,000 have cleared T5.
Not Sure if that is a reference to the subscription or not. But if it is, I have to say that subscription does not mean you have to be able to do everything. Only that you are allowed to use their services, like their servers.
Considering that the attention rate of players is fairly low on this game. Which means that most players quit before they even could start coil. So that 7.4% is actually higher when you take that into consideration. It's rather interesting to note, that only 7.4% of all players on PS3/PS4 have beat T5 (as that's the percentage of PSN FFXIV accounts that have the trophy for doing so). Really ? 7.4% ? Even 20% echo ? Ps players fellows ... Please raise the number to at least 15%,thank you very much. It's rather interesting to note, that only 7.4% of all players on PS3/PS4 have beat T5 (as that's the percentage of PSN FFXIV accounts that have the trophy for doing so). I'd like to say that there are players on console that cleared T5 but had difficulty having the trophy unlock. There are also players who play mainly on PC but also on PS3/4 and thus would not have the trophy unless they cleared it while logged into PSN. I wouldn't say the trophy count is an accurate measurement.
How many of those people have completed the main story quest and dinged 50? It's a useless statistic if it includes literally everyone who bought the game and put it in their playstation at some point. It's rather interesting to note, that only 7.4% of all players on PS3/PS4 have beat T5 (as that's the percentage of PSN FFXIV accounts that have the trophy for doing so). Edit: I don't know where you are pulling those numbers from but here is something from a quick google search
http://psnprofiles.com/trophies/2096...A-Realm-Reborn
So according to this, which is just a sample of players judging from the numbers, 8.14% have cleared T5, but only 34.16% have cleared the game. So actually out of the people who actually get to end game the number who clear T5 approaches 25%, and only counting a sample of console players. You really need to factor in that many people buy a game and just play it for the free sub.

I'm not sure why people feel so high and mighty after beating the coils. Literally the hardest part of the coils is getting a consistent group of players that are dedicated and have the desire to clear the content. Unless you are part of the first few players who learn the mechanics and then start teaching/making video guides on the content to help others, then you are no different from anyone else who has the capabilities of learning. What did you work so hard for? It's only a matter of time before you learn and memorize the info that was gathered by others who are better than you. You showed that you are capable of learning (quickly or slowly, doesn't matter) using info others acquired for you, good job.
No idea why you're so angry about it. It's a game, people find enjoyment in beating it as they always did. That has been the case for every game ever since arcades.I'm not sure why people feel so high and mighty after beating the coils. What did you work so hard for? "Oh good for you, you put effort into beating the game. You're not the only that cleared it. I can beat it too if I want but I'm going to have a sandwich instead"
We know that everyone that will put effort into a game will beat it.
