no. i think thats about right.4 star synth. Needing ~5 of the mythology materials. And 2 or 3 new crafting materials that are bought with capped-out new tomestones for one mat. Also need a rare mat from chests in the new dungeons. Put it all together and you have enough materials to create just one part of the new gear recipes. The actual new gear recipes will require overmelded crafters utilizing the best available food and an FC buff.
Over-exaggerating? Maybe.
...
Or am I?
also throw in some demi-materia too to mix things up. ala-agumented gear and the agumented artifact crafting parts combined ;-;

QFT.
SE has a weird design philosophy when it comes to crafters. They've made it such that you have to focus on just crafting or have a healthy amount of time to get anywhere with it.

At first I thought these recipes were vanity, but then... aren't we supposed to get new crafted battle gear with 2.4? (i110 maybe?)
If so, yes, expect this to be extremely hard and expensive to craft.

isn't that essentially vanity for all of us long-time players anyway? if the tome-values stay the same anyone who caps consistently each week will have outgeared those by week 6.
Many people still now wear crafted and melded i90 as their regular gear, and for BiS crafted i110 can replace several HA/solidery pieces, until currency/raid gear becomes more available.
Either way they won't make it easy to craft just because in the long term they become vanity, in the long term all gear becomes vanity thanks to vertical progression.

which is why i pray for eventual horizontal progression -_-Many people still now wear crafted and melded i90 as their regular gear, and for BiS crafted i110 can replace several HA/solidery pieces, until currency/raid gear becomes more available.

you can only climb so high. not every mountain has a peak you can walk on...most for that matter.

As a second thought to some of the jokes about mats needed. Yoshi had a live letter early August iirc in which they expained the economy. One of the things mentioned was that there would be a large shift in the market come patch 2.4. This could be us having to upgrade tools and gear to make i110 crafted gear. Or it could be a new way of making gear introduced in patch 2.3, i90 rings, neck, wrist and earrings. The use of demi materia from desynth. While creative it was a failure. I would say that the crafted i90 items with 5 matiera IV was very impressive done right, it was also insanely expensive. I only made two full sets for tanks. The issue was getting enough demi materia to make the gear affordable. With current desynth rates, if more than one battle 2 or 3 materia is needed to make a piece of gear, that gear would not be cost effective to make. I do not believe more than a small fraction of the market will buy the first i110 making it either very expensive or crafters looking at a longer term return on their new gear investment, could sell at a reduced mark up to get the gear moving. Whatever new crafting gear we see in patch 2.4, it will have about a 6 month span before being outdated. So we have time.

I can see the i90 accessory market picking up some if they delay the 110 accessories again relative to the other gear. It's a quick way to add vit to dps/heals without losing too much.
I wish crafted stuff was more useful throughout the patch cycle.

Rogue gear should be class specific. Crossing my fingers that they are.
