I doubt you can equip Rogue skills with other jobs. All the other jobs have already their class partners.

I don't see this happening. Cross class skills are a major part of the game. By this reasoning, they're not going to allow Rogue to equip any cross class abilities since the ones in the game have their already established affinities. There are a few ways this can pan out:

-Rogue has a little something for each job, though no job would have all of its cross classable abilities.
-Adjustments are made so that jobs can pick from an additional class while giving NIN its set of classes to choose from (crossing fingers that LNC will be added to WAR's abilities)

I think it's also worth noting that currently there is only one class that is a level 15 requirement for two different jobs. NIN will break this trend. It's also worth noting that of the two jobs that require CNJ, none of them have exactly the same skillset. Remember that SCH can use Cleric Stance whereas PLD cannot.

I kinda agree, I expect us to have another cross-class shuffle like we did with the advent of ACN.

This shuffle removed CNJ from BRD, PGL from BLM and a few others got changed as well

I'm actually scared though! I would hate to lose invigorate on Monk (doubt this would happen) but what if they took Bloodbath and Mercy Stroke (MRD) away from me! *faints*

The best solution is the one you said, that we get a 3rd cross class job We'd still only be able to equip 5 cross class skills at this level cap anyway, but at least we could get rid of some lackluster ones >.<

Yoshida himself stated there will be changes to this system overall coming, so it won't be surprising if they start prep work now (like they did during 1.x line of updates being prep work for 2.x updates.) The skills will be heavily gimped or else you're basically only inviting a Ninja for their ninjitsu skills and not anything else they can do. They specifically said Rogue will basically be 'DoT based' but different from SMN, so unless they completely changed their minds..cross class from Rogue will be heavily limited or non-existent as that would take away from it. Look at what you can Cross Class from Arcanist for example..almost nothing that 'defines' the class.

I predict all DoWs will be able to use Rogue Stealth, but Rogues will have a trait that makes it worth using for them alone.
Since rogues are a bag of tricks class, the "toys" that don't affect much will probably be crossclass, or conversely like Stealth, a skill that no one else except gatherers has and could be potentially game breaking if left to one class.
Though I personally believe stealth won't be valuable in dungeons beyond any abilities it lets you use.

I doubt they change the class requirements for the jobs. At least not ouside of an expansion pack.

For now, every class can use cross-class skills from Rogue, but the only jobs who can use Rogue skills would be Ninja and some jobs coming after Ninja (if their class get paired with Rogue).
