Those AOEs are the exact reason I would never hunt on melee dps. Simply because with that many players around my fps drop below 15 and that makes avoiding AOEs pure luck...
So it's not always the players (yes even dragoons) fault that they die to the AOEs while fighting elite monsters.

I had this problem as well(I do hunts on Mnk). The hunts that gave me the most trouble were Sabotender Bailarina and Walgaru. It wasn't until I messed around in my settings to turn off effects for people outside of my party and to limit the ones in my party that my fps didn't drop to potato. Sure I still get fps drops but now I can at least dodge stuff. Also yeah I have pretty lousy pc which also play a factor in all this.
