You're right, but "all but confirmed" is overstating how much weight is behind the idea. Two allusions in an MMO almost designed around allusions isn't much.

I'm so confident in my speculation that I'd be willing to put money where my mouth is. Zodiark is coming. That is actually confirmed by the story. There has been an egi of Belias, an elder primal, playing a part in one of the job quests. I am fully confident that the next series of primals will be the FFXII espers. They will include, but not be limited to the following:

Fire: Belias
Wind: Chaos
Earth: Hashmal
Water: Famfrit
Thunder: Adrammelech
Ice: Mateus

While I am not nearly as confident about the following suggestion, I would like the Espers to have their own dungeons modeled after the final dungeons of the games their namesakes come from.

Chaos - The Chaos Shrine
Mateus - Castle Pandemonium
Zeromus - Lunar Subterrane
Exodus - The Interdimensional Rift
