    tough bosses in other FF have no story behind them. They have crappy justification on how you go beat them though. The story is gated by regular "level up a bit more before beating it" bosses.

    You can bet that final coil will tie up all the loose ends and restore the status quo to the world. Meaning that if you dont do coil the overall story line wont be affected by it.

    Coil is for the hardcore, deal with it.
