By now I think the strategy on the ogre is pretty much spread.

It's not all that hard if you're prepared and know what you have to do. My biggest advice right now is, limit close range attacks on the ogre to the minimum. If you don't use any close range attackers on ogre it's easiest to kill him.

Reason: The Ogre uses AoE attacks that hit/knockback players and due to mages having to heal more than one target, the hate issues/mp shortage kicks in very easily and the whole fight can become a mess. Plus the ogre uses an attack on players standing behind him(and only if they are behind him) called "Elbow Drop", which can be evaded by walking to his side though. Other then that it's all about positioning and movement, if you got that figured out the fight is merely a pushover.

Really excited about the 2nd boss though.

edit: Everybody can safely believe LateReg. His real character is "Late Registration" on the server Selbina. If he says they got the dungeon clear, it's safe to assume they really did

edit2: The ogre chest drops all chest pieces btw. While the chests on the way to the ogre drop the feet gear.

I'm pretty happy about the progress so far^^
We only did 2 runs on the patch day, due to DC issues >.< and another 5 runs yesterday. I think we got the way to the ogre and the ogre pretty much settled now, so its all about what's after that xD

I'm really happy about the dungeon though, didn't have that much fun in XIV for a while now
Next scheduled run is sunday, so we'll try to get some decent tries on Batraal

Downed the Ogre just now!!!! EPIC!!! it was so close too! Then we got owned in a few rooms past when a large group of skelletons caught our team off guard^^. This is such a fun battle!!! (So much so I was even inspired to take out my skillet and make food for the runs^^.)
