Whats the point in Big Fishing?

I'd say of all the choices, I'd like Aquariums for sure. It'd be pretty nice to have a dynamic, updated as frequently as the player adds fish "furnishing" to the game over other decorations.

I'd be perfectly fine even if it was just Animal Crossing style and each fish was in its own aquarium. Being able to display giant or cool looking fish would make me go after them for sure.

You could also just do it like FF11 where specific fish were needed for specific themed aquariums.

There are no plans to add food that uses big fish as an ingredient at the moment. Creating a new meal that offers incredible buffs would in turn have an affect on the balance of battle, so we have to look into this type of thing carefully.

Why not take the XI approach and make 3hour versions of the same foods that use big fish as materials?

Problem is that fish tend to make similar level food. Unless you really want to use a 3hr Braised Pipira made from Bloody Brewer... I'd just vendor/desynth it instead xD

What about a big fish turning into a food/potion that is a purely cosmetic function? Such as, drinking said potion will turn you into a goblin for 30 seconds. In-combat would be hilarious.

We have been asking for aquariums pretty much since beta... still nothing but not giving up yet!! Also wall plaques like we had in 11 to mount our big fish trophies or like the one shown earlier on the small trophy to set on a desk!! One idea i haven't seen here which i would love!!! Is a KOI pond outside in my yard!!! Love to catch myself some KOI and add them to my pond outside <3

I'd be pretty happy if they allowed us to craft the big catches into items we could mount on our wall like the Behemoth item. I know someone sitting on a copy of at least 15 or more of these fish in the hopes he can display them at some point.
