Plenty of other people and myself would rather see it live than deal with hassle of having to find multiple decent links but if that's your preferred way of watching stuff, be my guest. Value (to a degree) is in the eye of the beholder after all.
That much I will agree with, everyone sees value of things differently. Although, Excluding the Keynote from the SD version ( which is probably the expansion reveal), was not necessary. I planned on using the SD version of it anyways, but I got really bummed out that the keynote wasn't in the SD version as well. Paying for the Keynote ( and among other things) makes me feel like something special will happen at that time ( expansion reveal). Or there could be practically nothing at the Keynote and it could be a waste of money in terms of the "Package deal" you were suppose to get.
All in all, If 20 dollars is worth the stuff your getting, then by all means. I just hope for the buyers sake the the Keynote has note worthy information.
Im happy paying for the stream, because I enjoy this game so much. The more money they get, the better the content they can give out is how I see it. Plus, $20 isnt much considering blizzard asks for $40 for their virtual tickets, which isnt even worth it.

what you are paying for is:
1. HD resolution
2. Includes the opening keynote by Producer/Director Naoki Yoshida
3. Includes the closing ceremonies event
4. A code for the Moogle Attire bonus item
5. Access to the archived footage until March 31, 2015
if you don't think those 5 things make it worth it then by all means don't buy it. I for 1 would like to buy it but my budget just doesn't allow it at this time![]()

i'd rather just have the patch and ignore the stream so i can level ninja while all the turds are at the fest.

The problem is it'll be a total of $60 if you want to watch all 3.
Edit: This is to compare it to Blizzard's $40 price tag, because it's just one event, here we have 3 fan fests and each will probably have the same price tag.

your annoyed paying $20 for the stream? thats a small fraction of the price most are paying for the fanjets tickets, and other companies charge the same for such a thing D:
if you wishy o be annoyed then get mad at the peeps watching it free at the same time :P
my ticket cost £65 in dollars i would say roughly $115? sooo i wouldn't be mad paying $20 :P ( £10? )
Sometimes you just got to have Some fun

Wow. $20 for an in-game costume, and temporary access to the HD version of a glorified commercial for the game you're already subscribing to.
Watch the free stream. Problem solved. No one is forcing you to pay. It's optional.
If Only the Keynote wasn't excluded from that, I wouldn't have a problem. In fact I wouldn't even be posting anything if (100%) of the stream was on Both HD and SD. I have no Problem with paying them for the HD stream ( if at a reasonable price), since this is a 'Fan" fest, for the fans, it seems kinda odd to charge money to watch something online. There is absolutely zero reason to not include the Keynote in the SD stream.
