Welp, it might be the only way to resub. It's the first time I'm having such a difficulty in subscribing to an MMO. I want to play as much as the next guy, but Square just makes it hard. No... it's been right there in your launcher every time you logged into the game. Critical Lodestone notices are posted in the launcher. They put it up on 07/01/14:

This is a notice to all customers who use PlaySpan’s Ultimate Game Card or UltimatePoints as a method of payment to purchase Crysta.
As you already may be aware, PlaySpan will be retiring the Ultimate Game Card and UltimatePoints. This means these 2 options will no longer be offered as a payment method for purchasing Crysta. The last day to redeem retail Ultimate Game Card codes will be September 29, 2014 and the last day to redeem your UltimatePoints will be October 31, 2014. Also, if you registered with the UP system and provided them a valid email address, they emailed everyone about it back in June. They've been sending reminder emails on it every couple of weeks since. Think I deleted one just last week in fact.
Oh well, my bad for not noticing then. But still, it is huge, an e-mail would have raised awareness way better than a notice on the bottom of the launcher.
