There's something to be said for subtlety in epic encounters.
Example being how the music change at Heavensfall in T9 changes from an intense prog-rock synth/guitar jam into a dramatic operatic Latin piece.
Seems to carry the mood from, "We have to defeat this! We can do it!"
Into: "We have to survive this. Can we do it?"

The female Devil May Cry boss music is just pedal to the metal from the start with no concept of dynamic.
But it has its place. And it's not a bad composition.

In all honesty, I think that a piece of music played during the "final" boss fight for something like this should encompass variations of a musical theme that is present throughout the entire story. Sure it should be epic, but more importantly, it should reference a melody that we have heard again and again throughout the arch of the story. With the soundtrack design of 2.0, i'm not sure that is possible.

It could work, but it may prove difficult, unless they combine the boss themes in such a manner to where it becomes as chaotic and beautiful as the final boss music from Lightning Returns (seriously, that 13 minute song has bits and pieces of the big boss themes from the first 2 games).
