That is odd. I don't really get this type of thing at all. At least not anymore. There was a huge stink about this very early on in 2.0 and it was addressed. I think the latency was something like 600ms before, but it got cut in half sometime around 2.15, I want to say.

Not saying situations like the above don't exist anymore, just that the reason's no one really complaining about them anymore is that it's a rare occurrence.

How is it a 100% representation still? I do remember this during the initial beta phases and launch itself but um....I haven't seen that time of delay issue in, well, a long time. I think a key note to take from that GIF is.....wait for it....

Lol I remember that GIF, and yeah it was mostly a problem in beta. As for lag in general, it really makes crafting annoying sometimes especially when you're hitting the same rotations for a long period of time. There's always that wait and it makes using macros really difficult, at worst impossible.

Guild Wars 2 works the exact same way. But yes, the games that require strict timing suffer the most.

This gif was demonstrating how your personal lag affected the game greatly - you may also want to post the gifs of people who can run back into the AoE circle and not get hit.

It's still a 100% ignorant representation of how most telegraphed skills worked in this game by the fact that it only shows the telegraph and not the cast bar. The majority of skills determine target not when the circle disappears but when the cast bar finishes. People have largely figured this out by now while morons continue to whine about red circles and still can't figure out how they are supposed to read them.

I dunno what game you are playing. I haven't seen lag like that since, as you stated, beta or even alpha. So no, I don't agree that it's an accurate representation of the current state of the game.

This... I've had this happening too many times for my taste. Some tried to blame it on my net until I pointed out that I'm on 50Mbps Optic Fiber and I run regular speed/ping/tracert tests and found no bottlenecks.

Also, I really doubt that it's people's internet connections all the time. Game servers have an internet provider as well and if their internet provider screws up, everyone will have issues connecting to the servers.
