We could use a hotfix that allows us to selectively block tells/trades/friends/invites/etc from players created in the last X hours, still with the new character icon, or with no classes above level X, in any combination of our choosing.

I was playing a dinky F2P MMO once where people were running around but no one could answer some simple questions, talk to me, or even interact with each other in a big market square. I quit on the second day.

I don't think they would do this, since if a legitimately new character sent you a tell to ask you, an experience player, a question and received that message. And then another from that player across the room. Then another from a player outside... that wouldn't be a very warm and welcoming environment.
