Yoshi said that 3.0 will be as big as 2.0 is now so expect lots of new zones![]()
2.5 has the last crystal tower and possibly Gold Saucer so nope, we will have 2.5 at least, then the expansion.I'm hoping SE will skip 2.5 and go straight to the expansion for Christmas. I know we all hate rushed releases, but I don't think it would be rushed if they have the manpower assigned to it. It would be such a great Christmas present and would be the perfect response to Blizzard. Given that 2.4 will have the last Coils, it seems to me SE doesn't have to wait 3 months on that content to be cleared.
Sounds more like it could be a mobile game or something. They don't copyright the patch names and expansion names tend to be copyrighted right before it's set to be release (give or take ABOUT a year base on XI history.) The only time we found "early trademarks" was 'Scars of Bahamut', which ended up not being an XI expansion.
Let's be real though, the current world is pretty boring simply because of the progression style - anything "interesting" is now an instance, disconnected from the world. It's not like in XI when you got "bored" of the Vanilla world, then zilart areas...then CoP areas...then ToAU areas...you never really got "bored" of them, you simply got tired of the long travel times to some content, but the overworld actually had meaning for the most part and was designed like the world is lived in whereas in ARR the world doesn't really...feel like a world in some ways. We've also been in the same set of areas for 4 years now (1.0 > ARR) with almost no expansion to them..so yeah she is right in it being boring since it's the same world for 4 years and by MMO standards, that's at least 2 expansions lol.
