Yamimarik no offense but did you even play 1.0.?

Yamimarik no offense but did you even play 1.0.?
I wouldn't mind finishing it.
But that's what Youtube is for.
Commendations.
If I play dps I only give it out to other dps.
If I play tank I only give it out to healers.
If I play healer I only give it out to tank.
Only if they should be getting a commendation.
There are always exceptions to the rules!

I I agree with you hulan, but I also think that this is final fantasy the best of the best ,at least!..a medium graphical update would suffice. The snk and invisi mechanic just gives a little something to more hardcore players. Now don't me wrong I like final fantasy realm reborn but I have never played a mmorpg with such small zones. More bigger open world for exploration is a must. Cause I mean what is final fantasy online really know for. To me final fantasy is known for job classes, pve content, deep lore and open exploration with also mechanics either puzzle or boss fight.

Abso-freaking-lutely I would. I like 2.0 but I miss 1.0's maps so much..

You can look forward to DX11 update for a graphic bump (probably not an insane bump, but a bump at least - Yoshida said water is a very noticeable change, I hope 3d water.. that'd be amazing~). I liked monsters having detection types, it really added a flavor to the game.. Sad they removed it. ;_;I I agree with you hulan, but I also think that this is final fantasy the best of the best ,at least!..a medium graphical update would suffice. Not sure they can make huge open fields with the amount of objects they currently use (Coerthas is huge but has a countable amount of objects)- it's probably a balance between ps3 not being able to load an area too large and detailed or servers having too much stress if an area promotes too many players in a zone. ;( lol

And you love reiterating things that Yoshi said without actually having a source. Have any for this one ?It's obvious you never touched it or you wouldn't keep repeating this. Those of us who actually did and enjoyed it and followed ARR's development remember pretty plain as day we were told things would be "fixed" rather than gutted and converted to the "WoW standard" which took out quite a lot of depth and character XIV had going for it. 1.0 was broken because it was unfinished, as in it was never completed for launch. 1.23 however? The version where subs doubled-tripled as per YoshiP's words? That version wasn't broken beyond the core server structure, which as SE themselves said (since you love reiterating that SE did soandso) was the main issue and the main reason for the reconstruction, so they can actually fix the core issues with XIV.
Enkidoh said it in the previous page. Players had their chance to keep the servers up, they didn't grab it. Don't blame a company for wanting to get rid of a product that was leaking money.
Good times were had with people forgetting their oils and trying to sneak through tunnels just to end up training the whole place. Also, Blood Aggro made KRT monk party much more interesting and kept you on your toes.

Yeah why notwould be nice to see old coerthas

I wouldn't mind seeing a single player version of 1.0 Present it as a prequel to ARR and release it on PS4.

Let me just point out that many of the players here, myself included, are members from XIV's original release. The game was eventually shut down to be remade, and we waited while they did so. We werent' waiting for a different game, we were waiting for the same game rebuilt. That is why many people will talk about ARR and compare it to the original, and wether one agrees with their opinions or not, I do think the comparison is both natural and entitled. What exactly would be the point in all this? To waste the dev's time, SE's money, and our time? I'm sorry, but FFXIV is gone. I'm not sure why you would want to play it, since it was trashed, and then ARR was built up from it's name and here we are. Is it for the sake of nostalgia? Then, as many people love to point out in these forums, go watch it on youtube.
I don't want this game to be FFXIV or FFXI-2. So many people are after that here, and I came here to play a brand new game, and that is what FFXIV:ARR is, a new game. I don't mind if elements are added from XIV, or XI, but to make this entire game into another XI or XIV? You do know there are games that have that style of game-play still active and running, one that is still ran by SE? Right?
FFXIV:ARR isn't "broken", it's just a new generation of MMO's. If so many of you really dislike this game that much, that you want a FFXIV server to play on instead, why do you even play this? I mean if I was playing a game, and realized it wasn't what I thought it was going to be and I wasn't enjoying myself, I'd just stop playing that game. It confuses me so much to see people on here constantly saying "I hate this game, I want FFXIV back, I want old archaic game play back, I want FFXI-2". Why not give actual helpful suggestions or just stop playing something you dislike so much, instead of trying to turn back time and bringing something that failed according to SE and the fans as well.
In short no, I do not want a FFXIV server to be associated with FFXIV:ARR. I personally don't see the point in bringing a game back that simply SE doesn't want to use anymore.
ARR is a different game only in the sense that they molded XIV in a more mainstream and shape, it is still the same logo (with the addition of "A realm reborn"), the same lore, even the same NPCs. If you pay even the least attention to the dialogue, the changes that XIV went through during the downtime are explained by NPCs, such as changes in the landscapes, the Moogles' new function as postmen etc. by blending it into the lore. Would you then claim ARR to be a brand new game? I certainly wouldn't, it really isn't. It's the same game, under a new direction of game design made by the team to make the game float. It's no wonder people compare it to the original, wether they like or dislike the changes.
