PS4 - Wireless mouse cutting in and out

Hello. I've seen threads about the keyboard lag issue, which I believe is in the "to be fixed" bucket, but much more frustrating to me is that my wireless mouse on PS4 continually cuts in and out, making dungeons and any play requiring quick responses extremely frustrating. Has anyone figured out a fix? Will switching mice help? Is bluetooth better than standard wireless? I'd love some adsistance, as this is really hampering my enjoyment of the game. Thanks!

Does that happen in any other game beside this?

I love the official forums, they tell you to use the search for thread about what you wanted to talk but when you use it they judge for necro a thread.

I don't have any other PS4 games that support mouse and keyboard.

Do you have any other USB devices plugged in (PS4 Eye etc.)? I'm not sure if PS4 has this problem but PS3s (the slims anyways) seem to have limited voltage through their USB bus. I know if I have anything plugged into the PS3 alongside the PlayStation Eye, the Eye won't work correctly.

I had a wireless mouse and it worked without issue when I was about 5 feet away with a clear view. However another 6 inches or a slight view obstruction and it would cut in and out. I gave up and went wired (long USB extension cable).

At least in my case the issue was not the ps4 or the game, but rather the wireless capabilities of my mouse. Not sure if that is your issue, but in general wireless mice are not designed to have long range and at least in my experience they only worked flawlessly for about 1/3 there advertised range.

the keboard issue.....really wish SE would fix that.

Keyboard issue is the crappy generic drivers in the PS4. SE can't do much there.

I'll see if distance affects it. I'm sitting about 10 feet away.

I have a wireless keyboard in the other USB slot.

You have two wireless dongles in there? That could be the problem. The keyboard and mouse may very well be operating on the same band. You don't notice when a keyboard cuts out a lot of the time and with the PS4 and wifi keyboards it may be masked under the crappy drivers.

Yep, two ding dang dongles. Don't suppose there's any way to adjust the channel?

Not normally. You can verify if that's the problem easily enough by pulling out the keyboard dongle and just using the mouse for a bit. You can rule out the game completely as well by testing it on something like the built in browser on the console.
