about egi's models

One of their reasoning why they all fly is because it's easier for us (the players) to spot them. I have played an ACN and used carbuncle in 8-24 man raids and based on my exp it is difficult to spot carbuncle with so many people and effects going on.

Not only FFXI had different summons - I'm sure FFXI is setting an expectation but even without it, ARR's still disappoint me >.<;

Which is weird because they currently are chibi versions of primals. Well except Titan. He's a little too fat.

I suppose they could be seen that way, generally I think chibi has more detail then the current egis but I guess that is opinion on how much chibi.. Meh, OP kind of lost me at calling the devs names like that. Maybe I'll make my own thread just to give you all jollies.. lol (Not that I want them to be "chibi", just what I thought OP was saying)

You have no idea what you're talking about.

I can tell you are passionate on this subject, I too think the egi's look silly and not fitting in comparison to any other FF game or other MMORPG (though we may have different end goals, it appears) - but I hope you know calling people and devs names is a good way to not be heard by anyone (GMs will come wakka wakka mean stuff).

Yeah I think you're right, he is more skewed to the sides than his primal version. I should have said fatter as in larger lol.

I'm starting to think that the only reason some of you have access to these forums is because the mods like drama and trolling. Someone starts a thread about something that have been asked for more than a year now and ignored, and you come to ridicule the poor OP, and as always the detonator is FFXI, even if it have not been mentioned by the OP.

Gonna leave here my own stance about the egis' appearance, they are ugly, the only thing they have in common with the primals is the color, for me they all look like a bunch of flying stones. The design must be changed, because it has been asked for the playerbase, those who play smn and those who don't play it because of its bad design, and i'm talking about appearance and playablility, and if someones says "no" they, they are just naysayers with the only purpose of being against anything no related to, or wanted by them, as an example we have a big naysayer here, i'm sure everyone knows who...

We discussed your feedback about the design of the egi with the development team. As was mentioned previously during the Beta test, the design planner reiterated that egi were designed to be a manifestation of a percentage of power taken from the primals and are intentionally designed to appear differently from the primal. As such, we aren't planning on changing the look of egi at higher levels.

We will however continue to take in your feedback when creating new egi that will be added in the future.

I believe they'll make the newer Egis sharper looking because of the power we might gain in expansion content but it'd be silly to go back and fix something that isn't broken because only <1% of the playerbase doesn't like the way it looks. Or they could ignore it all and keep doing what they are doing (which is probably the game plan anyway).

Tbh OP, I feel as if most of the current Egis look really creepy so I would love a redesign.
Out of the three, I feel as if Titan Egi is the least creepy.

As for the flying, I don't mind either way. I think them flying makes hem easier to spot/target since they are so small.
