My problem with an idea like that is that i'm looking for the opportunity to spend more stat disbursement points.I think I'd actually prefer it if the lvl cap stayed at 50, and the iLv just continued to increase. iLv pretty much accomplishes the same thing anyway.
Long-term, it makes it easier for new players to get into the game and get to endgame without such a daunting amount of lvls to plow through.

We get a patch roughly every 3 months. 2.4 is scheduled for end of October. 2.5 therefore would be January... given that 2.5 is the final patch before the expansion the exp pack would likely be released no later than April 2015. I don't know why people keep assuming it'll be end of next year. The current release schedule is pretty easy to work out.
They mentioned one would not need to clear primals/Coil etc to enter new content in 3.0. I would not be consequent if this would not apply for craft/gather stuff. I too wonder what decision they'll make.

Im going with 25 extra levels.

I am willing to bet Summoners will not be getting all the egi from primals. I foresee 2 added egi, Levi and Shiva. I very much doubt there will be a king mog or ramu egi. That's strange, how are summoners going to get all of their egis if we all only get one new ability? I know they said every class is being updated the same in terms of amounts of new skills and they probably don't want to give every job three or four (depending on if they would give a Mog-egi) new skills, but I personally think it'll slight summoners if for whatever reason they can't summon each of the primals as an egi. Though I think they did say summoners and scholars are getting the biggest changes when the expansion hits.
.
So I would say 10 level addition is about right.

Are the patches every 3 months? It is. Their intention is every 3 months, but usually it turns into around 110 - 120 days. So somewhere May - June 2015 would be more likely for the expansion pack to his if that pace is kept up. With in that case it still being fresh directly prior to E3 may not be a bad thing either.

I think the patch delays thus far have been attributed to things like developing the PS4 client, the Chinese client, and the DX11 client in sequence. Once everything is finally uniform, I'm sure that the development time between patches will drop.It is. Their intention is every 3 months, but usually it turns into around 110 - 120 days.
