My guess is over ilvl 80 as that's where the rare item message has changed for me. No idea for DoL retainers.

I suppose they'd need to be at the level allowing highest (XIV) level of the exploration ...

"Regarding the retainer’s “quick exploration venture,” the following have been added to the list of rare items a retainer can only obtain once they are above a certain item level/gathering ability.
pot of pure white dye
pot of jet black dye
pot of metallic silver

Im going to assume a quick exploration then. Wonder if it will still drop in lower ventures or if its just restricted to high level ones, need to level my retainers a bit...

quick list them on the market board you'll make a fortune

kinda curious what the discovery rates on them are; if they're just in the gigantic pool of possible quick venture rewards they could be worth a lot.

EDIT: Also I guess that means that the rewards from ventures are determined at the time the ventures are turned in, not when sent out. Not that there's much that can be done with this knowledge, but interesting all the same.
