If people are on voice chat, talk and socialize then I am much more willing to help them better their game if they're unfamiliar on what to do. Whether that be due to a lack of knowledge regarding the fight, aren't comfortable with their class, whatever. They've showed that they're an actual human being playing, and as such they can be treated.

People who refuse to join voice chat and end up sucking? They can get an instant kick out of the group. If they fail to acknowledge the social element in a multiplayer game, I will fail to acknowledge them as a person and treat them as an NPC.
Every person who plays this game is a real person. If you treat them as less than that, for whatever reason, it speaks a lot more about your failings than it does about theirs.
