No, you need t2 Food to produce onions. Aka Sylkis, Mimett, Phasana, etc. Some of them cross both ways with a chance on 8 seeds per patch, others don't. So do some research before you plant ^^

It works. 2nd tier chocobo food is all interchangeable for onion breeding (and possibly most other crossbreeding involving them). I'm also pretty sure that Glazenut + Mandrake producing onions is a terrible error.

Usually the reason you see specific things on these databases is because it's the type of food that the tester wants and so they are focusing on them, or in the case of the Broombush/Sylkis/Almond thing, you can use specific seeds for multiple functions.

Yes, it is the combination that we are using since weeks and we are getting kernels, for our glazenut loop, and the onions, for growing, on a steady 50:50 rate ^^
