I find a lot of new players don't have a keyboard. I'm not sure if this applies to the OP, but nothing is more frustrating than a new players who is unresponsive. Everyone should have a keyboard they can plug in to communicate with people.

To be fair this game is on PS3 and PS4 and many players' first MMO. They might not know how important communicating is or even that a USB keyboard works at all on their system (which was the case with someone we knew).
To first poster: Let people know you are new in a dungeon or new at playing a role in said dungeon, most fights are intuitive and if they aren't they only have a mechanic or two that would make sense with a simple explanation or after a single wipe. Primals and Coil are where you should start to do at least some minor research, though, as they have much more mechanics than dungeon bosses that take time to explain.

I don't mind if people don't respond in chat necessarily. I understand that not everyone has a keyboard and it can be a pain to type on PS3/PS4. What I DO expect though is visual response to my help. If I say, hey try using flash right after you pull, and they do that with the next mob, then all is well and I know I wasn't ignored. Although typing "ok" in the chat isn't hard for anyone. :P
But honestly, you don't really need a newbie to tell you they're new. You can usually tell right away. They watch the cs at the beginning and the notice at the beginning says "first time completion" or something. So you know right from the start that there is someone new. If it's that important to you, ask at the start who's new. Take two seconds before pulling a boss and explain. You can usually do this without even knowing which is the new person. But likely it's not the person decked out in ilv100 gear.
oh and just to add regarding keyboards, you can get a relatively cheap one. I had one leftover from my PS3 days that I had bought for $30 and works on PS3 & PS4 (it's bluetooth). And I just bought a keyboard for my friend that is plug and play for both PS3 & PS4 for $30. Honestly, it's $30 well spent bc it makes it so much easier to communicate. Then you can ask questions or help others, or even just have a fun conversation :P

Some people take this game too seriously. Almost like its a job you cant mess up in or you get instantly fired!
Its a game for christs sake. If you dont want to play a game where you might (and you will!) bump into people who dont know everything, youre better off playing online.
Some people pick up MMOs and its like they seriously have no idea what it is like to play with other people (as youre supposed to because its a MMO!)
If i do something wrong then so what. Its a game and im not going to stress over it. If i get yelled at by a prick then he gets the boot from my group. I dont tolerate such shitty attitudes from people who forget this is just a video game!

Playing offline** dang typos.

Ive been playing for a while and i have a keyboard. Yet i refuse to talk on parties mainlythe only time i type is when theres a new person that needs guidance.
Everyone has their own way to play or do things. You cant police everything to your liking! (Zomg the world doesnt revolve around you oh no!)
Um I hope your not saying that to me :/ I'm not saying anything against you I just stated that you can use any usb keyboards so people don't need to worry about makes, price etc.Ive been playing for a while and i have a keyboard. I don't usualy talk in dungeons but it depends on the group, you get chatty folks and it's nice to have a banter while you go through and there's the runs that go in absolute silence.
PThanks for your advice. I don't kick people out of any Duns unless they messed up big times and a repeated offender (trolling is more like it). I was more prefer to those fights like Primals fights, Turn Coils, where you spend like 10 mins explaining to a new guy, then this one run a completely opposite to what we explained, multiple times, in multi-level.Please talk for yourself only.
If you're new it helps to say it but omg it takes less than a minute to explain the strat for dungeon bosses, if we wipe the first time I'll explain it and we'll try again. It's not that big of a deal.
Honestly you just have to learn to not take things personally and not care at all about those people. They're just sad, laugh at them and move on, it'll improve your experience a lot. Don't be afraid to leave a dungeon with unpleasant people, it will still be there after the cooldown, it's not worth running it if you're not having fun.
One times, I had 2 new guys in Garuda Ex. Despite after explaining, pressing to look for Spinny and not use the AOE, they went and used AOE skill every single time without fail after we spent 30 mins wipes after wipes because of that very same mistakes. Not just that, after tired of typing "Stack inside" the bubble to avoid Garuda's Ultimate move and had to make a macro just for that very reason, and even after spamming that macro like 10 times with sound effect every single line, they still failed to follow. To this point, I flagged them as trolling intention and don't really care about whether they were new or not. After kicking them, 2 others joined in and we one shotted this.
I don't normally take them personally. However, if anyone, like a certain someone in here, who attacked me personally, by twitching/add my words, falsely accused, purposely wrongly understand my post,etc... Just so they seems to be justified for their attack, I am not gonna sit back and pretend I did not see it.
And about your solution," don't be afraid to leave if you don't want to run with unpleasant people", while I do agree to a certain extend, I do say I disagree with it. It is unjustified to force you to wait 30 mins, just because of one wrong person and you, yourself did not do anything wrong. That is why the vote-kicks is born, to counter that, I believe so.
