Cats have better idles and emotes. Highlanders generally look better all round.
I barely see miqo'te anymore, there so many of them that they just blend into the scenery. Want to be noticed? be literally anything else.

I wanted to be Elezen (loved Elvaan in FFXI). 1.94 as shortest and a slim body with knock-knees was a no go for me. You do get noticed when you're 8ft yeh. xD
I admit I like the looks of highlander but the voices when attacking just.....irks me, its a no go if it urks me

Male hyur > Male cat
Female cat > Female hyur
Tails on males make them look less manly, not to mention it makes all sort of armors especially heavy armors look stupid.
On the other hand, I can't stand that stupid kawaii desu walk from female hyurs, I just can't take this game serious with that sort of walk. Also, the way they mount horses? really? or even the way they sit...female cats are clearly superior in pretty much everything.

PSSSHHH. That's just the Midlanders. The Highlanders look they are about to go off on an adventure! I don't think they sit side-saddle either, but I can't confirm that one...
Anyway. I see you have already made your decision, but both look great! I usually go with Highlanders nowadays but the cats have been a bit tempting at times, I could see why you decided to stick with that! (Plus the Highlander voices are indeed a bit off...)
I will admit even if he does look shaggy, I do kinda like highlanders look better than cat, I do like all of highlanders emotes way better than cat, they just seem more...animated? im actually still kinda leary, im going to probably make some more voice test characters and see if I can find something, I just kinda like having facial hair lol. Also what im testing really is the "grunt" your character makes when attacking, I wish I could take my cat boy voice to highlander lol. Just to note, I have nothing against catguys!PSSSHHH. I kinda-sorta recently went from an Elezen to a Highlander. I love my Highlander now! I always thought there was something off about the Elezen, but I could never figure out what it was for me...But yeah, the Highlanders definitely have better beards! I do feel like they are more animated as well. Well, compared to my Elezen. I made about a million different test characters before finally usually my Fantasia, best way to check on the little things, like the grunt, the run, how they emote. And of course, nothing against the cat guys! Or the Midlanders! (I just couldn't get over that walk...)
Well, good luck to you, sir!
Glad you love your character! I hope to love mine as well! And exactly! while it takes tons of time to make multiple test characters, its better than using a fantasia then realizing you screwed up bad and have to buy another one! OR THREE. TIME TO CONTINUE WATCHING CUTSCENES OVER AND OVER AGAIN! FOR THE TESTING!I kinda-sorta recently went from an Elezen to a Highlander. I love my Highlander now!
