Would it be possible to make glamours job-specific rather than on general equipment?

Still feel it is asking too much when we can already glamour gear endlessly and how we want.

The OP is asking for this because we can't glamour gear how we want. I know I can't.

I have the i100 PVP Bearsmaw (WAR) gear glamoured over my i100 Noct (PLD/WAR) gear. I'm not a big fan of the Noct gear and I really wish I could glamour the Lionsmane stuff over if for PLD, but I can't, since one armor can only have one glamour.

I have to agree with this topic, if only because the theme of my glamours was broken when I upgraded to the noct gloves. Before, all my jobs were glamoured the same way except they were all wearing the i90 gloves to differentiate themselves, but now my tanks have to share.

Except glamour was a vanity addition that SE didn't have to give us. Sorry, just feels that since SE gave an inch people are wanting a mile in this situation.

SE isn't obligated to give us anything. We aren't entitled to minion/mounts, CT/Coil, holiday/crossover events or even a reboot of the game, yet they still did all that and more. your point?

What the OP is suggesting would be confusing on the inventory system. At present you change the look of the item, so that new look is saved onto the actual item in your possession.

OP why not develop the way to change the Glamour system to do what you want? It is pretty hard to imagine a way to save the Glamour to a saved set when you Glamour an item. The only way at present to do this is to have two of the same item and Glamour them as you want for the different set.

This isn't really possible, not even the Transmogrify system in WoW can do anything like this.

Character->Gear Set List->Display Set->Glamour

Edit: And this is already somewhat in place, you can dye glamours of same item different colors for each gear set, without ever dying the origional. Would only require slight tweaking of data list accessed for how your character is displayed, something like

Character Body: <body86> #glamour<body32> #color<17>*

Too bad they didn't just go with a more simple and (at least to me) a more obvious glamor system of having 2 inventory slots for each item. 1 for actual equipment and 1 for the glamor so you can switch out anytime you want too and have different sets for different jobs. Example, Although the noct armor looks cool on Roegadyns, my 4 1/2 foot tall Miqo'te looks like a cheerleader trying to be a football player so naturally I glamored it to my old pld myth armor that I think looks really good on her. But at the same time, that wont show on my war and even if it did I wouldn't want my war looking like a holy paladin, just doesn't fit the image of war to me. I know a lot of crafters are making a killing on overpricing the prisms but seriously could glamoring (a completely vanity only and doesn't affect the game at all feature) be any more complicated?

I play BLM and SMN and they are using the same gear. It's pretty boring I am forced to make them look the same because I can not set separate glamours for each. It's just another example of Squares need to make everything needlessly complicated. They could have just had a simple costume slot that you place gear into.

I have asked for this quite a few times on other threads as well. because they share gear if I glamour BLM, my SMN looks a mess.. and vice verse.

My friend is having the same issue with WHM/SCH, his White Mage looks uber cute, but his Sch is a mish-mash because he can't glamour the same piece twice.

Glamours really need to be set per class, not per gear... >.<
