Better gear helps a lot. I don't like the idea that gear should be the end all be all.

noone is saying that, but the biggest problem is that olde content cant be cleared by new players. Theese brickwalls will drive newer players to end their subscription fast and echo isnt helping in that department. I had a fail run recently in duty roulette on titan hard (not ex), the echo buff did nothing to help the situation, and titan hard is what? 1 year old by now. that stuff should be doable by 3 people: tank healer dps by now, everythign else is just bonus.

Usually Titan HM parties succeed now. You must've been in an especially bad one.noone is saying that, but the biggest problem is that olde content cant be cleared by new players. I've personally seen Titan, Garuda, and Ifrit HM finished by only 3 people and each time was long after the rest of the group wiped. So what you're asking for is possible with skilled people. You just can't choose to enter with less than 8. You're whining that something should be possible that is indeed possible.
First off I am not whining, i am makeing suggestions to improve the gameing experience for newer players.I've personally seen Titan, Garuda, and Ifrit HM finished by only 3 people and each time was long after the rest of the group wiped. Second by 3 man i mean from start to finish only with 3.
and third, it doesnt/wouldnt bother anyone if olde content gets really easy/soloable for newer players. Its not like it drops anything much of worth anymore. I for myself wouldnt mind it. Thats why you have progression, you progress to the next stage with new updates and make the last/older stages easier or alot easier.
This would be my ideal example of an encounter that mainstream/casual can get into. Things like DPS checks, keeping up with healing, surviving tableflip, they're all mitigatable by individual player skill and progression of gear. If someone dies, it doesn't necessarily mean a wipe, but it places more of a burden on the party to meet the checks. This also means that echo would help because it'd lessen the burden of meeting checks, though not nessescarly remedy the deaths to weight or landslide.I've personally seen Titan, Garuda, and Ifrit HM finished by only 3 people and each time was long after the rest of the group wiped. In the case of something like T5, an individual player death as a result of dive bombs or twister, is more than likely going to take the party with them too because of the nature of it (Twintania dives toward the center rather than toward a side, twisters explode in an AoE). This also means that no amount of echo will remedy this if goofing up a divebomb is going to take out the entire party with you.
T6 would have examples of both. Things like bulbs, THE BEES!!!, (super) slug, and overall outgoing damage becomes easier to manage as you get better gear or with the implementation of echo. Player skill and adaptation is taken into account in recovering goof ups with bulbs, vines or giving the boss a stack. Boss gets progressively harder when people die to blighted or feed the boss due to increasing numbers/demands on the party, which imo how is should be (up until savage anyway since it;s supposed to be more heroic than heroic), not slap a game over in your face.
