"Try on" option included to equipment on other people. But why so limited?

Id love a system like GW2 try on function where I can try on different pieces of armour to mix and match sets before I buy anything then realise I wasted my money because it doesn't really fit well or spending ages having to try on something, buy, try on head set, buy, try on gloves buy etc etc etc.

Also while on topic can i dye more than the base colour of my armour please? Also unique armour, why can't I dye that >>?

Anyone else find it odd you can try on someone else's pants while they are wearing them?

Oh my god a GM responded to the thread. I mostly made this half-jokingly and I didn't think anyone would take my plea seriously.

This is great news; however, any chance we can get the option to zoom in on something now the belly? IE trying to find the perfect neck/ring/earing for glamor and trying on someone else's you can't look at it. Would be nice to not have to equip it and play with camera angles to get a 65% good view of them (rings drop it most)

We are planning to make it possible to try on items with various displays, and we'll also look into allowing a try on feature for loot. In regards to trying on other players' equipped items, we're looking into whether we can have a try on feature that allows you to try on multiple items at once, so we'll try to see if we can apply this system for that purpose as well. There is no concrete implementation time frame just yet, so please be patient while we work on these features.

How about making it possible to try on multiple items at once? And better yet, the ability to scale the Try On window so we can see stuff easier?

The item subcommand menu (Search for Item / Item Link / Try On / Item Comparison) can now be used with the following:

• Item links in the chat log
• Achievement reward icons
• Supply and provisioning items in the Timers window

Yay, my personal favorite was added! This function (and the "search for item" one) continue to become more useful.

A dye peview for the Try On equip if dyeable would be also good

The development team doesn't want to make any promises to implement the ability to preview dyes while using the try-on feature as they have other tasks with higher priority in their current schedule, but they have been informed of this request and will be looking into it.

Personally, I would like the option to be able to open the Market Board (and I suppose dungeon/other players too) and preview what dyeable armor looks like dyed. I like to dye my armor, but sometimes the items look really god awful dyed.
