Patcher download speed?

Okay, Honestly I am just curious what is up with the patcher. It's always been like this but maybe i am doing something wrong...

I have a 55 meg connection on my ISP and I have always (since this game released) patched at a max of 100 kb/s, with the actual average being 2 kb/s.

Is this something that has to do with Square Enix or is there something with my router i need to set up so my download actually stops sticking at 0 bytes/second for a good hour or two before actually downloading any files.

p.s. yes I know with a 55 meg connection it does not download for that much, highest so far my download speed on something has been was 7meg a second. before any possible flames.

same here man.. downloading at some bullshit ass 1 kb/ sec.. this is freaking retarded.. You guys officially made a happy day a pissed off day.. Thank you..
I think it has a bit to do with all these people suffering from ADD who can't just let the system do it's thing. Instead they have to stop and restart it constantly so they get the download speed and screw everyone else.

Been back for a few days now. I like what I have seen so far in changes even though they have mostly been behind the scenes. I am impressed with what 1.18 intends to do. But gg, I would have expected the patcher to have been fixed in the last 10 months. over 12 hours to patch? Is someone running the patch server out of their garage? come on. This is by far my biggest disappointment since returning.

My download speed is 60mb fyi and I'm jsut hoping to even see 100 kb at this point..

Laptop been running for 15 hours.... 17.2% done.
My main PC been running for half that time, and its at 25.7%, kinda weird...

Got all settings set as they should....

By now, I've uploaded atleast 10 times more than I've downloaded. Is this a joke SE? Do you not know what the h*ll high speed internet is?

Yep, I didn't finish until like 5 am and I was downloading the patch before the servers were even supposed to come back up. Started downloading about 45 minutes after they started patching. I really hope they address this server issue.
