I don't see what the problem is tbh. Just place the pet and use heel if your going to a different area, it's really not that hard to do.

It's not a big deal, but what is the point of having updates every few months if they don't improve on things that can be improved on. This is a pretty simple little AI tweak, I know better than anyone how complicated seemingly simple tasks can be in large projects like this, but honestly, if the AI is written in an even half-logical fashion, it shouldn't be more than an hours work for one person to make it so. And while it's not a big deal, it is one small headache that served no purpose done away with. The argument has been made that it's part of a ACN's job to keep track of this sort of thing, but I ask you: How would playing as an ACN job (SCH/SMN) be different in combat, when it mattered, if the pet heeled automatically if you got out of range instead of just disappearing?

Sure it maybe a simple tweak, but what about the more important things like balancing, bugs all that crap. Just because someone doesn't want to pay attention to their pet doesn't mean they should automatically get the developers to fix it. It's not a small headache it's not even a problem, if you can't keep track of your pet then go play a different class.
