Please add the ability to share a personal house with friends.

Everybody in or out, nobody has any permission apart from the owner of the house. EQ2 has the best housing system and FF XIV has the worse housing system in the history of MMO. How could you even put them on the same table and compare.

Well I don't want EVERYBODY IN. I would like just my friends to be able to enter. Pretty simple.

Allow only friends to enter .. tick.

Done sorted, I'm happy bunny.

Similar system could be used for a limited number of features such as retainer bell, or merchant/mender npcs.

If FFXIV is the worst housing system ever and EQ2 is best ever. Then naturally people are going look towards the best ever for suggestions on ways to improve the poorer system.

I remember before Personal House implementation I read a dev post that above function will be added to Private Chamber later,
So I think this function will be added to Personal hosue as well later, don't worry ^^;

I do not care who can enter my chamber since I can open it for all. I hope by access they mean, they can use the crafting stations in my chamber since at the moment even my FC member can not use them when they enter my chamber. This is quite sad, as I have a medium house, I put 6 stations in the house and 2 in my chamber.

But I will not keep my hopes up at all, I think they just mean you can now restrict "entry", if they mean "accessing" stuff in the house, they would probably have spell it out.

95% of the houses in each ward are open for all. Nobody wonders around into other people's houses. In fact, the whole housing area is pretty much a ghost town, city center are still the places people hang out. Having a house since Jan in Mist 1, I could probably count with my fingers how many people wonder into my house. Each time, I cannot wait to welcome them and chat with them and I made a couple of friends that way. You should look at this in a positive way. There is no harm, since they cant use anything anyway. But it is not too hard to implement anyway, simple logic, in our out.

Which brings me to 2nd point, if you just want friends to be able to enter your house. Then just open for all. But if you want people to also access your stuff (garden, stable, chest). Then it is complex requirement and not likely to happen in the near future.

Yes because there are two options. Closed or open for all. That's it. If you want any friends to come you have to have open for all.

You still struggle to grasp this. Some of us don't want a simple in or out option, regardless of how busy or not your housing ward is. I would like a simple friends only option so my house feels more private & only people I want to enter can enter. This isn't about harm or any such. It's a personal house, not a public showroom unless I want it to be a public show room. Just because you're happy with status quo, doesn't mean anyone else cannot request for something different. If they added a friends only or share ability as it wouldn't effect you at all!. You can just go on enjoying your house as you are now.

This guy owns a medium house and I suppose in order to let his significant other in, he made it open to all. I was peeking around houses in the new wards looking at how people decorated... and I stumbled upon him and someone else e-rping. Luckily they were not on the middle floor, and whether they were on the top or bottom floor, I dared not to go look. I exited immediately. XD
