After you have jumped, tough... done that myself while learning fights. And even after learning fights, if something shifts just one second, it screws things up... bad positioning of the monster by the tank can screw things up, lag can screw things up. Lag... I can tell you a thing or two on how lag screwed up my rotations and I suddenly end up doing the same skill 2 or 3x instead of the rotation.

My point is that in certain situations, I prefer to break rotation and make less DPS for a few seconds than spend 30 seconds on the floor dead and contributing nothing at all to the fight. I see that a lot in ST when I break rotations to get away from AOE's and other dragoons (and other DPS in general actually) just faceplant on the floor because *rotations*. I personally see nothing useful about being dead... unless there's some uber DPS skill that you get when you're dead that I'm not aware of.

Now there's an idea for a future passive skill for Dragoons....

Loldrg's Wrath: Attack power increases by 10% every time you are revived in battle.

    Make it happen SE!

That would be the echo woudn't it? lol or DGN would get a buff on top of that?

DGN and Monks have the same problem melee DPS has in every game, ping dependant, higher risk for being close to the boss and usually cool looking so they lure lots of players because of the looks. DGN has (imo) a cooler looking weapon and armor than Monk, so that's why you see more of them.
Lots of player using that class = higher chances of having bad players. On the other side with ranged DPS while the player migh be as bad as the melee, they are safer.

Anyways, DGN trick is having its buffs, dots and debuff always applied.
My DGN highest damage rotation on a practice dummy was:
Heavy Trust > Internal Release > Impulse Drive > Blood for Blood > Disembowel > Leg Sweep > Chaos Trust > Power Surge > Phlebotomize > Jump > True Trust > Vorpal Trust > life surge > Full Trust > Heavy Trust > True Trust > Vorpal Trust > Leg Sweep > Full Trust > Spin Dive > Phlebotomize > Impulse Drive > Jump > Disembowel > Chaos Trust > Heavy Trust > True Trust > Vorpal Trust > Full Trust > leg sweep > True Trust > Vorpal Trust > Full Trust.....and then is a repeat from the beginning.

But that’s the thing....it was a static practice dummy...there are almost no bosses where I can pull that full rotation (Hydra, CM, Prae come to my mind...bosses who doesn’t need leet dps). The rest of the bosses once you dodge a couple mechanics force you to start all over again to re-apply buffs and debuffs.
