Secondaries are extremely over rated. (Besides Acc until capped)

Finish your Novus Asap so you can work on nexus. You can always tweak the stats later.

Especially if you plan on doing Coil3 right after 2.4 you'll want some ACC on your weapon until caps are figured out and I'd much rather be altering t3 materia slots then replacing tier4 slots.

I read that you get a bonus at 20 and 40. So if you have 3 stats 1 needs to be over 40, the other over 20, or all 3 over 20 in order to get all 3 extra points from the i115. Just about every 3 Stat build in here is only getting 2 out of those 3 points.

2-3 secondaries aren't doing much of anything. While knowing the cutoffs is nice your dps is unaffected by 1 secondary stat.

It's more of a principle thing, seeing that there's rng involved in melding expensive materia. As I mentioned elsewhere, I initally did 20 acc/32 crit/23 det and ended up with 20/33/23; I restatted to 15/30/30 and still only got +1 to my crit (so 15/31/30). I sent a GM call to see if it was a bug and am still awaiting a response.

from what I've gathered looking at various Nexus weapons, it seems Det will only give you a bonus point at Nexus if you actually capped it out at 31. Crit, Speed, Acc will all give you 2 points if maxed to 44, and 1 point if taken to 25. I'm expecting that you'll get 1 point on those anywhere from the 22-43 range. If you take 1 point out of acc or crit, and move it to Det, you should go to 32 without losing the 1 bonus point you earned for Crit.

Yeah, at this point I'm reworking it (again) to be 13 acc/31 crit/31 det, so at the end of the day it should still be superior to the HA composite bow.

Hmmm.. I made my Novus to be 10 Acc, 39 Crit and 26 Det. With that, I could use the Judgement Ring of Aiming and with Apkallu Omelettes / Devilled Eggs HQ, I'm at 492 Accuracy enough for T9. You will miss if you hit from the front of course but it shouldn't be a worry unless you have to silence the Earthshock from the blue golem. If that's your job, you won't want to be at it's front when trying to silence it. Nexus only increased my Crit by 1 so that's 2 secondary stats lost because it gives up to 3 secondary stats but I don't think it's too big of an issue for now. If ever needed, you can always respec the nexus point by point with the new gear in 2.4. Really don't need to worry too much for now I would say, but be aware of materia price inflation after 2.4
