Why shouldn't someone be allowed to watch the cutscenes on first playthrough?

Not waiting for people watching cutscenes is toxicity? I'm not rude to them, I don't vote kick them, I inform them they could watch them in the inn. Then I tell them they will probably be left behind by the group if they don't because of the nature of the dungeon. But that is too toxic huh?

I really think this would completely eliminate all negative effects of the current implementation. You can't give advice to a new person because they're only new once and they aren't looking at these kinds of forums until they have an issue in the dungeon.

In a 2 dungeon option, the no cutscene queue times would balloon greatly , while the speed run dungeon would be business as usual. That would just lead to more complaing that newbies can't get into the no cutscenes dungeon in less than 2 hours instead of "I can't watch my cutscenes!"

Notice how they did not harass the slower newbie watching the cutscenes via cussing or vote kick.

If you're good at anything, it should be selective reading, because I have said several times I'm not okay with kicking people for watching cutscenes and cussing is not allowed regardless if it's about CS or not.

Nor they did they deliberately lock him out of all dungeons to punish him for taking longer to watch cut scenes. People talk and dicussed how they want to proceed.

They did deliberately decide to lock him out and proceed because he was taking too long (did you even read the post?) and the discussion part is something we have been repeating over and over but you don't seem to understand, when I said "majority rules" how do you think this is determined? By discussing the way to proceed.

Additionally it is not clear how you determine that there were 5 newbies, they can be alts characters, or alt classes. There is no indicator to show how many are new.

That is be a shame, but it has happened cause I told someone flatly "hey you can skip the cutscenes cause the party is probably gonna leave you" and eu got indignant about it. Maybe that's why I don't care to wait

I hated how on my first Praetorium everyone ran off when I was watching the cutscenes. And no, watching them at the inn isn't the same thing. Watching them at the inn takes out all of the fun of experiencing them for the first time while you're on the mission.

I love the idea of having dungeons tied to the main plot and having cutscenes in the middle of them. Yet I don't want SE to ever add these to the game again... Because unless they force everyone to wait for the people that are watching the cutscenes (which would open a huge can of worms) they simply don't work.

I understand this stance, but disagree with it. If I run a main scenario dungeon I go in with the knowledge that CM and Prae are story dungeons. There is content within the dungeons that is vital to ending the story and new players who have been engaged in the story will want to see the cutscenes while they are in the dungeon.

Yes, this is very much the reason why people run main scenario roulette. It doesn't mean people can't be considerate to players experiencing the duty for the first time. But obviously not everyone is.

...The reward is not to help newbies, it's to keep those dungeons populated so newbies don't have 2 hour Queue times.

You really wouldn't Q in the no skipping version for 600 myth rather than the skipping version for whatever it is 150 or 200 or something? (been a while since I've Q'd for it so I don't know the current rewards). To be honest I was thinking that the one with no cut-scene skipping would blow up and the skipping one would be slower...
