Sooner or later, its going to be harder and harder for new players to find others that need Castrum and Praetorium. I say nerf if to a 4 man dungeon or maybe even a solo scenario, so new players aren't waiting in queue for hours.

You aren't everyone though and you're vastly outnumbered in your way of thinking. If SE removes the reward or otherwise makes the dungeon an inconvenience, a huge portion of vets will stop doing them which in turn will cause queue times to skyrocket. Have fun sitting in your day-long queues if you don't have FC or LS members willing to help you.
Most people aren't doing the story roulette for that bit of Extra-Feel-Good™ from helping new players. They're doing them because 230 myth for a ~20 minute speed run is a quick, efficient way to grab extra myth. It's an incentive to help keep new players from getting stuck and as much as players like to romanticize it the purpose of the reward begins and ends at the vets taking you all the way through the dungeon. The system doesn't care how they accomplish that just so long as they do.
With this character's death, the thread of prophecy remains intact.
let's say you go see the last Marvel movies at cinema, and the projectionist only put the figting scenes then give you a DVD with the dialog scene you can watch "later at the comfort of your " room.
Do you think your expereience is the same than if you could see the full movie in one time?
Why would you want to watch all of the cutscenes when FFXIV's story is literally dryer than a piece of sand paper. Oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
to say this you have seen it once at least, otherwise your judgement is worth qwats since you wouldnt know what you talk about. You have seen it once in your room ? maybe you shoudl ahve seen it in context, might have found it less dry no? ohh you have seen it live ? you mean to say someone let you see it ? that is good..maybe others would have the same chance .dont you think?
This whole conversation is dumb.

That would solve the issue, if the new players were aware that it was a necesity if they want to enjoy the story.
As the situation is now; a new player that wants to experience the story will most likely not find out that the last two dungeons are full of cutscenes and impatient people until they get there.
Small story time!
Yesterday I decided to queue for MS roulette as a healer (I usually survey all 3 roles to see which one gets in faster) and to my surprise the group consisted of 5 new players, both tanks and 3 DPS, by that point I was getting ready to sit out all cutscenes, one of them quickly says he's gonna watch cutscenes because he's new (fine for me), by the first boss, however, while that one guy is still watching cutscenes (everyone else skipped) one of the new tanks asks if we should move on and two of the other newbies said yeah, to make the story short, the only new guy watching cutscenes got locked out or missed out most of the dungeon by the other newbies.
This is not all "evil vets vs innocent newbies", it's just that people (regardless if they are new or not) do not want to sit there for long minutes doing absolutely nothing just because someone else is watching cutscenes, specially if they are slow readers, the only fight this guy didn't miss from the start was Nero and that was because someone else got lost and I didn't want to go in until he found the closest shortcut.
