Pulling big

It's faster when you have DPS classes with huge AOE damage (Black mage). Big pulls when you have just DRGs or MNKs are kinda moot, yes.

Depending on the level, all jobs have pretty effective AoE. It actually drives me crazy when a MNK refuses to AoE on the grounds that their AoE isn't any good... MNK AoE rotation is insane. Also, it's really easy to see which attack is worth doing in which situation by factoring in the potency and the number of mobs you'd be hitting with the AoE attack. It doesn't take many mobs for pretty much every AoE attack to blow ST attacks away in overall DPS. If I pell 15 mobs and one DPS attacks one at a time and the other AoEs, the one STing may as well just go afk lol
