Given that you said Crit and Det is better in those turns, that. I've had no problems with burst in those turns, even when I was doing T6 with an i95 weapon. I've also had no problems with my DPS in those turns, and I know I can do a hell of a lot better in T9.
Right. Because saying Spell Speed isn't the best at something makes it automatically bad. And it's not about if YOU had problems or not, it's about it working better in general. Let's say your groups DPS isn't so sharp, or maybe another DPS died at that point. The burst will really help there.
Than ?
Updated Gear Page with Nexus + Alternate BiS 2.38 (thx Rika Persika) + New Stat Weights for all stats

Started working on measuring time mechanics for all spells last night. Hopefully I'll have it done before Ninja comes out.. or it'll never be done :P

If your group doesn't have the DPS to get down the bee's or a bulb in T6, then there are glaring issues in the group that will not be solved by a BLM switching to crit/det.Right. That what i'm currently doing now, I feel that personally I can improve a lot more in T9.
I'm not sure if anyone is interested at this point, but the BiS for Nexus is incorrect.

Could be interesting if true. But the increase looks rather small at best...And also I know a lot of BLMs are gearing their nexus to SS/Acc in prep for 2.4 accuracy caps. Though a 21, 31, 23 split does provide some accuracy. Obviously we've no clue what the caps will be in 2.4 but if thats just barely enough accuracy to push us over the cap in the right gear, it could be a decent setup. As for myself I'm still just gonna play it safe for now and go 44 SS/31 acc
Read this and double checked the spreadsheet, yea the new stat weights are much closer for SSpd and Det. But even at a 1:1 ratio SSpd comes out ahead still, even if not entirely, in some raid situations Fey Glow will be up at a 50% up time and increases the value of SSpd even further. Assuming Puro's math is correct wouldn't SSpd remain the better stat? Seriously if I'm missing something here lemme know, it just appears to point towards SSpd.
It appears my previous statement was erroneous & after the most recent update "melding" SSPD instead of DET 1:1 does appear to be better.Read this and double checked the spreadsheet, yea the new stat weights are much closer for SSpd and Det. I'll have to take a second look at the Nexus meld I had proposed.
After editing the previous BiS Nexus proposition it appears to be closer to a 1 DPS increase now.
The real take-home should be that the Nexus weapon is 1.2~ DPS better than the HA one, despite SE saying that this would never be the case.

*Updated Calculator Page (v5.3) with added row for 'Theoretical Total INT'
*Also updated some wordings on How each stat affects one another

I'm almost done testing all the timings and stuff also. Almost....
I've started to notice quite a bit of BLMs with this on their Novus. I went for a cheaper, more balanced Novus of 21 crit 21 det and 33 ss. Is it really worth remelding the extra SS/Det you think? I'm not too active in coil :S
