like I mentioned in another thread:
regarding atma: I never had an issue with completing that but seeing that its only a visual upgrade and no stat increase whatsoever, they should just remove the rng and just let people complete it by doign 1 fate in each mentioned area. . simple questline for a simple "upgrade".
You can't which is why it's weird. You are getting an enhanced weapon that can't do its predecessor's jobs.
It should be like this:
Zenith weapon : Eligible for Atma drops
Animus: Eligible for Atma and Alexandrites
Novus: Eligible for Atma and Alexandrites
Nexus: Eligible for Atma, Alexandrites and Lights
God knows why it doesn't work like that, since this game prides itself on multiple jobs/classes.
The Current Patch notes indicates that an Alexandrite will drop If Novus or Nexus is equipped.
I understand that it take 3 weeks to get a Solidarity Weapon and maybe a day or two to unweather it.
But, ATMA is a prerequisite. I find it ridiculous that there is still no ease on obtaining ATMA. I have 1 Animus working towards a Novus and I'm fine with doing it. I'd like to at the vary least ATMA the other 5 Relics but I've been stuck with 7 Atmas for 4 days now. Its not fair.
Atma is shit. Should have changed it long ago. Your right to disagree is valid, but consider you may be in a minority.
I agree that easing it up is fine. The grind going from Atma --> Nexus is going to take (most) people a couple months anyway.
The grind for the books was boring, but bearable. You always knew what you needed to do to progress. No RNG, just prescribed kill amounts, etc.
The grind for Novus is pretty good. Many different ways to get Alexandrite both casually and myth/allied seal grinding as well. The RNG for melds is blah, but there's another thread out with that now. Customizable stats on a weapon was an awesome addition, though.
And the Nexus is pretty good, albeit for a tiny stat change. Doing essentially whatever content you want either casually or grinding for hours is pretty good. No RNG, really.
Hopefully soon they'll let up on it. I'd love to go through it with other jobs but the atma stage is ironically the most intimidating in terms of time-dumps.
We grinded hard spending countless hours getting atmas. Why should u get the easy way out? Blame it on RNG? Suck it up and grind if you got time cry on the forums. Don't discredit the ppl who worked hard to finish their relic as lucky. We all worked damn hard for it.
I didn't. I got it in 2 days of on-off FATE tagging with my attention turned to Netflix. We grinded hard spending countless hours getting atmas. Why should u get the easy way out? Blame it on RNG? Why does it makes you so angry that people are asking to be able to catch up after you had plenty of time to play with your toy and you'll have another one to play with soon enough? We grinded hard spending countless hours getting atmas. Do you see FFXIV as a race or as a competitive game?
Are you also crying because there is an echo boost allowing some players to clear out 1st Coil with less of a hard time than the first ones trying it?
Does it bothers you that we don't have a myth cap anymore so we can grab the i90 stuff when, back in the day, you had to farm hard for that stuff?
