I spiritbond at Northern Than in the mine location where The Dark Devices initiates. Any other great location?

Also, is it true that having my chocobo out reduces spiritbinding?
ALSO, meteor survivor ring and aether ring are the best things to equip while spiritbinding?

1 point in +spiritbind increase = 0.3% faster binding
with the aetherite ring your gear binds 1% faster, which is pretty useless

It's not a fixed percentage of your bonding rate, from what I've tested it looks to be a fixed percentage of the total spiritbond, around 0.01%.

For example, if it takes 250 kills to fully SB, you're getting 0.4% of total SB per kill. Putting on 2 meteor rings makes that 0.46% per kill, worthwhile boost drops it to 218 kills.

If you're getting a full SB in 50 kills, you're at 2.0% of total SB per kill, 2 meteor rings makes it 2.06%, drops it to 49 kills to fully SB.

These aren't exact numbers, just a rough estimate from memory.

HQ and each materia is a flat boost of 25% per.

Choco will take away from your SB speed, just like being in a party.

Story Roulette is pretty good for i49ish stuff. Castrum gives 60-70% SB without any +SB stuff, plus all that myth. I've only gotten Prae once since the SB change and didn't pay attention to how much I got.

And there's always Urth's in South Shroud, though that's more popular, so competition is a factor.

I'll no longer be using my chocobo while spiritbonding. Urths Gift isn't a kind location and the enemies aren't as abundant as North Than Mines

I dont get what you mean, but a friend and me were binding 2 sets of 11 ~ilvl 49 items each: he without spiritbond increase and I'd a binding potion with rate +3.
While I made 199% with my sets he ended up with 197%. we both reached 200% at the same pull, so in the end I wasnt faster, even with spiritbind increase, which makes it completely useless

The percentage boost varies based on gear level vs enemy level.

High gear/low enemy = takes forever, huge boost
Low gear/high enemy = quick bond, barely noticeable

Also, how do you have 199% SB? They stop at 100%. If you're adding up partial sets and pulling groups, your stats are going to be off.

I don't know what's best, but I'm having fun SBing in the Castrum northeast of Wineport. You get an occasional Garlean Steel Joint (worth ~20k right now, more if you have GSM desynth), and you can do three groups of 5-6 enemies that are all right near each other, and the first set respawns by the time the third dies. It generally takes me under an hour to SB a full set of 12 i49 items.

My question is, which of the three sets is the best to use? Tank, melee, or caster? Tank seems to give me the worst materia, so maybe I want to start doing it with melee gear instead... But then my survival rate is down.

Does anyone know if chocobos or having other party members slows down SB gain?

I asume he meant first set to 100% and then added the percentage of the second set: everything of the second set at 10%->110%, everything of the second set at 50% ->150%. But that only works with a very strikt and controlled Environment especially if compared to another Person.

And I would have a question for the Aetheryt rings or spiritbonding+ potions, can i see it as this: when a potion gives +3 and i kill amonster that would normally give 30 binding Points i would get 33 Points and when i kill amonster that gives 50 Points i get 53? (I know we do not get a Point System but a percentage but thats how I imagine this to work) would that be right?
