After seeing Catapult’s siggie, i got a question for the 2nd Coil of Bahamut Veterans amongst us (placed in Spoiler tags, just in case):
In our group, i fulfill the role of Off Tank and we’re currently working on Turn 7. I’m having trouble with the first add phase (where you need to kill the Bladedancers). At 80% the first Bladedancer spawns.
We have to DPS it down as soon as possible, because soon afterwards (about 30 sec later) the 2nd one spawns. I’m struggling to get to the 2nd and 3rd add fast enough to pull it to a safe place (for the Cursed Shriek and Voice).
I’ve tried a few things. The strategy i use the most is holding my ground until the add is almost dead, with the minimal risk of it doing a cleave when i bolt towards the location of the next add. If the Add dies fast enough, i have a few seconds to spare before the Cursed Shriek goes off and the 2nd add spawns. But, there are times that i have to run while the add has about 5% of HP left, running the risk that it will cleave either the main tank or the healers (who are standing in the middle).
If i’m the one who is targeted with Cursed Voice, it makes things a bit harder to manage, since i have to look away from the add and the rest of the party before it goes off. Lowering my Hate generation.
I’ve also tried pulling the Add to the spawning point of the next add, but i always cleave the tank or the healers by doing that.
Do you guys do it differently? Maybe have some suggestions on how i should handle that situation?
