My usual start is poping most of my CDs at the start and then just reapplying as I go along. I will usually go straight, blood, blunt(unless needed), wind and venomus then heavy shot. Grab any procs I get(though dots take priority in case of straighter shot unless no straight shot buff). I try to time IR before dots for more blood procs.

What tended to kill my DPS was skillspeed since that ruined pacing a lot(and I still hate sch that will just spam fey light for no reason - one clue... it's great for burn phases, it's bad at trying to sustain damage). Now that I have dropped it down to like 405 or so I can actually keep uptime through most continous fights with invigorate at 550tp or so.

If I know there is a burn to do I will usually only go one CD at a time so I have one or two avaialble for burning(or save one or two CDs for that burn phase).

I got some DPS numbers from friends during various fights and usually I tend to be in the top 3 slots(even when I was lower geared).

opening rotation - basically weave all your offensive cooldowns between each gcd. you can weave 2 off-gcd skills if you time it right. reapply your dots before internal release expires

after that the next cooldown that will be available is internal release. pop it right away

b4b, hawkeye and barrage will be available at the same time - pop those once they are

next will be internal release but this time with raging strikes

^try to follow this and play around with it

I'm really not liking this DPS thing.

    Final Fantasy XI:
Started in 2005 as WHM. 2008 as NIN. 2009 as COR. 2009 to 6/2013 as WHM.

    DC Universe:
Fulltime Sorcery healer 2/2011 to present.

    Castlevania: Harmony of Despair:
Played ssmmas Charlotte a lot with maxed Heal ability.

Any other game that allow for Support (Call of Duty 3) or Medic (Battlefield 3), I went that route. I can't seem to keep up with DPS, but many healer spots are filled, just like BRDs.

I main drg and alt brd. My drg is 109 with HA weapon (still waiting for more T9 drops) and my bard is 110 pre-T9 BiS. I helped another brd in our FC the other day with one simple macro.

    /micon "heavy shot"
    /ac "bloodletter" <t>
    /ac "misery's end" <t>
    /ac "heavy shot" <t>

Look I don't normally use macros but this one is the tits! You replace this macro with your heavy shot button and literally just spam it. It will use those skills in that order, and if none of them are up (ie blood letter or misery's) then it will default to heavy shot. This could increase your dps by 20 points easy!

The basic comments I'd make are:

    1) always, ALWAYS, keep straight shot up.
    2) then always, ALWAYS, keep DoTs up
    3) weave cooldowns

I have macros, and they're set how the community set them. I believe it's just me, though.

    Off topic:
Why does a group of PS4 players kick people who does not have TeamSpeak?

    Off topic 2:
I'm tired of just doing T6 and T7 at reset while T8 and T9 goes untouched. "TeamSpeak or Mumble preferred." My iPhone 5C had TS that I paid for. Phone shattered, got Windows phone, no TS or Mumble support. I bought my iPhone specifically for this game. Not spending another $500 for a new one. Shouldn't have to spend more money to raid.

I'd rather play DC Universe fulltime again since it has in-game chat, or use that $500 towards an Xbox One and cancel FFXIV (FFXIV is the main reason I got the PS4).

What other macros do you have? IMO you shouldn't be using any other macros.

Off topic 1: I have ps4 and only use mumble, even with other ps4 players.

Off topic 2: ts and mumble work on laptops, tablets, iPod touches, etc. there are plenty of other devices you could try. Also did your iphone shatter or the glass break? If it's just the glass go to wifi mode and still use the voice chats. When pushing end game content voice chat is a must. It's too easy for a raid to wipe if your not communicating in real time.

    Voice:
I was fine on PS3. Most content, especially T6 and T7, on farm status, no voice. I bought both the iPhone and TS for Turn 8 Coil. Prior to my phone, I had got my fiancee a tablet. I used tablet at first, but that and me taking the TV was causing us problems with her shows. That's when I bought the iPhone.

I had to upgrade PS3 because group then complained about my load times. I wasn't laggy or anything; they just became frustrated with having to wait for me to load when queuing the next content after exiting previous. Went with PS4 instead of an SSD. $500+ for iPhone, $400+ for PS4, $350+ for tablet, $5 for TS all for just FFXIV. I'll quit the game before I spend more hard-earned cash when I have priorities. The struggle is real.

    *UPDATE*
Not sure what happened, but unless I'm kiting in T7, I seem to be on a streak of being number 2 or number 3 on the hate list, even with Quelling Strikes up. That makes me happy.

On a side note, I just do what I can. Got my hands on a Thunderdart while doing Ramuh as DRG. No T8 or T9, though. But the rest of the content has been fair.

If your PS4 was truly just for FFXIV why not just use a PC or a laptop? You would be able to run the game more smoothly / parse for yourself / have any VOIP program a group wants you to have. If playing from the couch with a controller is your thing you could also buy a ps4 or xbox controller to go with it and hook it up to the tv via hdmi. All of the things that I just mentioned would add up to being significantly cheaper than what you bought with the same functionality and better overall performance. If there are PS4 exclusives that you are looking forward to I understand but, I personally cannot buy into this generation of consoles.
