Why people insist on doing something that was intended to help newbies and then turn around and be dicks towards those newbies, the very same newbies that are providing you with the bonus myths that even make the activity "worth" farming in the first place, is absolutely beyond me.

It is pretty much the very definition of biting the hand that feeds you.

Let's take a moment to look at the purpose for the Duty Roulettes.

All of them are usefull for helping first-timers, so I I'll focus on why anyone would want to re-run the duties
Low-Level: Experience and loot (The exception being the trials)
Guildhests: Experience on classes you haven't done them on
High-Level: Loot and tomes (Primarily Myth) (Can be entered with a premade group)
Expert: Loot and Tomes (Primarily Soldiery) (Can be entered with a premade group)
    Trials: Loot and Relic Weapons
Main Scenario: Nothing (They give a pittifull amount of tomes on their own)

    As you can see:
    - Guildhest and Low-Level Roulettes are there to help people progress on classes that aren't lvl 50 yet.
    - High-Level and Expert Roulettes are the only ones where you can queue with a premade team, so it can be assumed that they are there to be a quick and easy way to get tomes. If you queue solo, you also end up helping other players gear up.
    - The Trial Roulette is also for helping people gear up their classses; either with primal weapons, or with Relic Weapons
    - Main Scenario Roulette, however, exists for no other purpose than to let new players get through the story.

The Main Scenario Roulette is there to help a very small part of the playerbase: Those that have reached level 50, but haven't beaten the story yet. This means that they almost always will be in the minority.
Do you think it's OK that the group of players, that are the reason you're being rewarded, have to limit their enjoyment of the game?

    "Ya'll got owned"
"As if you had a choice"

Please someone tell me that this generations way if speaking has not degraded this much.

I don't see what section of the current vote kick list includes "watching a cutscene" you know, something they paid people to make and put in the game for people to watch and enjoy when you get to the end of the game.

Your experience must be completely different than what's on my server then. We help each other, not tear each other apart. Enjoy your personality, because nobody else here does.

I actually feel sick to my stomach at the absolute selfishness I'm seeing in this thread. Mindsets like Tigerclaw are the very DEATH VIRUS of what this game is meant to delivery to the gaming world.

It really is too bad they can't come up with a usable fix for this. I've been here since 1.0 and thru beta and like some of the peeps here only 2 weeks after the game was official I was getting yelled at in the first few dungeons for watching cut scenes..... It really sucked all the fun out of it for me. I did have a few good runs with some nice, patient people and it was great (my first run thru one of them we wiped ONCE and got thru it the second time, I got yelled at...). By the time I got to ToTo Rak I had had enough, it wasn't fun anymore so I started leveling DoL and DoH and now I have 2 lev 50's and my highest lev battle class is 32 WHM and I still haven't done toto rak. It seems like being in a good FC is the only way to be able to get some actual fun and enjoyment out of the dungeons. I am not a sensitive guy, I've been playing online for well over a decade but for the life of me I can't figure out why players have to get everything as fast as possible at the cost of a good time. Everything is only new ONCE, just one time. I still haven't seen the entire world yet, still have to experience dungeons from lev 26 and up. It's just me but I like to savor good things as long as I can. Sometimes to me this dungeon grind is like going to a party and sucking down a couple gallons of beer in the first 15 minutes then barfing for 4 hours

Problem with Mr. Tigerclaw is the mindset

If it's not a bannable offense -> it's an okay thing to do.
Meanwhile he completely forgets that any societal action has a lot of unspoken rules of etiquette attached to it.

Also it's sad that these people don't realize that rude behavior like this essentially scares people away from the entire game.

Its a shame, because Ive said in another thread, FFXIV is, at least in my own opinion the game that is supposed to be the successor of the Great Final Fantasy XI.

I just don't do main scenario roulette, the myth/time spent ratio is horrible anyways.

I want a vote kick option for idiocy but we can't have everything.

Also with the PF thing. I usually use PF to find atma groups. I have not once seen a PF group for the story dungeons to not skip cutscenes. I wonder why that is :0 is it because no one joins them or looks in PF for story dungeons and just reads what the quest says and joins via DF?

Also just to bring some REALITY to this conversation. When you initiate vote kick and party members are using ps3/4 the vote kick box takes control away from what you are doing, sometimes when I'm buffing people before a boss and someone sends the almighty vote kick into action and I'm pressing l or r + r1 it moves the cursor on my screen to yes, sometimes I'm so startled I accidentally accept it because it just appears there and to put the last nail in the coffin the little text pop up saying a vote kick commenced covers the yes no bit, gj SE. Also some players are sheep and will just say yes even though they don't know why.
