Viera is from FFXII. The universes are all separate from each other so there is no way it will be Viera.

Anyway I will be sticking with my elezen .

Yeah, the universes sure are seperate! Well, except for all the Humes, Elvaan, Taru-Taru, Galka, and Mithra running around in FFXIV. Oh, sorry - Hyur, Elezen, Lalafel, Roegadyn, and Miqo'te. Surely there's no room for Vierra.

That said, I don't think the new race is Vierra. I just think this is a silly argument to use as a case against it. XD

Maybe....there will be SOME rejoicing if those actually were introduced, but more likely than not there will be NO rejoicing, cause people will still be loudly vocal about other things...like that there is no Blue Mage, Red Mage, Gunner Class, Puppeteer class etc etc in the game. =P

Haha i know right...but knowing SE they would introduce a ranger class with a X-Bow, which in its own way could be cool or...not.

It is not a bunny if you look at her, her tail is scaly. More than likely she is a Dragon. ^_^.

I was thinking 2.5, but the 2.4 release should line up around the fan festivals which would make it the perfect time to reveal a new race for the expansion pack.

I guess it's an issue of how much story they would like to cover in 2.4. Yugiri was noticeably absent in 2.3 and I'm not sure how they can shoehorn her into the story to have an unmasking take place now that we are going to Coerthas to deal with Shiva. The harboring of a Dragonkin race could be an impetus for Ishgard to go after Eorzea and set up the final showdown between the Ascians/Ishgard and the Crystal Braves.
