Bro, do you read? I'm not even talking about that screenshot parse of T8 lol. I am referring your claim of 420 on T9. NAEL DEUS DARNUS dude...
And what EncDPS you are talking, I am talking about culling. Do you know what is culling.
Sorry thought since it was a reply to my IMG that it was related to that lol. And no I don't parse, but I have people who reliabley use act just fine. Sorry I write In Parts if you're responding to this, but the t9 420 parse had downtime removed thats it
ACT is pretty dumb proof. Installing it, launch it, and tada, the default settings would work.
However, the culling is defaulted at 6s. Which means after 6s of inactivity, it will stop parsing until the next time you launch an action and calculate it from there. This means that it does not take into account of long down times in certain fights, especially ones like Nael which has high downtime in multiple phases. This is the reason why you see a 4XX on T9. If you have changed it to a long time like 30s (because you won't have such a long ass 30s downtime at all), then you will see that you won't really remotely even reach 350 in T9 (nor any other DPS class).
Most people get this and thus adjusted their ACT accordingly and numbers posted on this forums take into account of that, and thus don't be surprised if there are any others calling 4XX on T9 BS.

I don't see what's wrong with removing downtime, you can't even attack, :P anyway even with downtime taken out it doesn't matter. you may not see it as legit but I think it is, if u can't do DPS in a certain part of the fight, then it shouldn't be factored into how much damage you've done in totalACT is pretty dumb proof. I think I've said it before, if the Bard doesn't want to sing and he's in your group, you can just remove him and find someone who will sing.
As you can't do much during any downtime, and you recover your TP/MP/CDs to burn again which makes it lopsided. So just set culling to 20s and you can include the entire fight.I don't see what's wrong with removing downtime, you can't even attack, :P anyway even with downtime taken out it doesn't matter. you may not see it as legit but I think it is, if u can't do DPS in a certain part of the fight, then it shouldn't be factored into how much damage you've done in total

Well I guess that's fair, I can't really accurately get great numbers currently because we are selling second coil, (only 4 dps, longer fight duration, used to solo tanking every turn) but I could definatley ask my friends to make it 20s and see the numbers lol another day. Anyway, on dummies I've seen 430 for a duration of 5 min, no tp song and no drg. All in all bard is OP. And I do agree with the whole kick a bard who doesn't sing lol.I think I've said it before, if the Bard doesn't want to sing and he's in your group, you can just remove him and find someone who will sing.

Removing the downtime is a fair judge of burst dps vs dps in the same instance, but you can't compare it to other instances.I don't see what's wrong with removing downtime, you can't even attack, :P anyway even with downtime taken out it doesn't matter. you may not see it as legit but I think it is, if u can't do DPS in a certain part of the fight, then it shouldn't be factored into how much damage you've done in total
Ah gotcha, so it's more so a comparison with the group. Well my bad, I guess I should take back what I said about a bard needing to do a min of 400-450 lol. But I think it's very unfortunate people underestimate bard and how complicated doing a perfect dps rotation is
Surely it's a much better comparison if everyone uses the DPS given with the default settings?
