I have no problem with that because my LS has competent Conjurers and Thaums.

Ditto this patch will just be a ture test of players now and the smaller ls say 30 40 members will win hands down, Core group better than masses of people.

Competent as your LS mages may be. That doesnt help with MP management. They will still run out regardless how well they are at the class. I personally play both mage classes, and the revisions to the spells imo was very overwhelming. I embrace a good challenge, and think MP management is very important, however the limited mp pool is a issue due to the very high mp consumption now. I suppose if we get (RDM) as a job, and that comes with the abilty of refresh, then i think the game balance will be more visiable. Right now the game is even worse than it was pre-patch. I do recall SE saying this will be the rawest version of auto-attack, and battle refinements. I will wait and play extremly casualy until the game reachs the level of considerable satisfaction. Right now the game is slowly getting on its legs, but i can see us losing more people due to the limitations, and mp consumption. We need a stronger player base, and not keep losing (Future paying customers). All and all the game has much to improve on, and this patch imo wasnt a good direction for the game. Hopefully things will get better. I am assuming patch 1.20 when we get jobs the game will start to come alive, and people will see what directon Yoshi has in store for us, and ffxiv. /Cheers

It does help with MP management significantly. pre-1.18 there was no need for MP management at all and quite frankly it spoiled a ton of mages and they all became complacent. Luckily the mages in my LS knew how to conserve MP and play their classes correctly before this patch. Is this a significant change? Absolutely. But many saw it coming and those that did have had no problems adjusting their play style.

But so many people here act like this is the end-all-be-all final class adjustment EVAR for mages. Those who act that way are blind fools.

I agree, its not the end of changes to come. The "MP Management" Can not be argued, its not feesible at all. I am simply stating that right now important spells now have x3times the mp consumption. I am not one to complain about a good challenge. I always welcome that! I wouldnt be playing a "MMO" if i felt any other way. However, balance is the key to victory for everyone involved. I think since everyone voiced there opinon about the games difficulty "Easy-Mode". Now are experiancing the game in "Hard Mode". The changes where extreme, and it takes time for people to adjust to that. Alot of people are casual players, and that affects them the most. The hard-core players love, and embrace the challenge with a open heart. So in essence these changes have affected both playstyles. Right now the game is in re-devolpment state, but how much longer do we have to wait to play a game that we have been anticipating to be great @launch!? For the record, im very much a fanboy of "final fantasy". I just feel that the patch broght more problems than it solved. I suppose we can be optimstic and look to the future of the game. The real question is though, when!?
