Healer strike is ridiculously foolish and accomplishes nothing
It was updating when I left the house. I don't need to try it - I can do math. MP - spell costs = suck.
Also, it is a fact that healers are almost always the most in demand class in mmos, partially because people don't like playing them. Making them less fun to play will hurt everyone in the long run. Or do you have 1 person willing to main CON for every 3 people who like to melee in your shell? Or will you just never do light dungeons?
Even if job distribution was equal (which it isn't) there would not be enough CONs to go around. Making the job less fun will only make that worse.

from Diabolos? wtf? no? lol and yes, I played the game. I've been on since the patch. Ran the r50 dungeon twice. MP management was a slight problem at first, but it is very easy to get used to. Also, you claim to know the difference...so...why are you complaining that a r20ish PGL can't use spells like a r50 con can?

Oh yeah, cause my opinion doesn't count because SE made a crappy updater. That makes sense. And I have to experience the suck first hand before I can comment on the verifiable math of it? Oh man, you're hopeless.

If you didn't play the game today, and I don't mean just log on just to see w/e then log off, you have no right to talk about your opinions on how good the update is based on what you read on the patch notes alone. It was rape the mage day. A lot of people are already talking about quitting including one of my linkshell leaders, it is just too much how they hurt mages. 135 mp does not justify healing 500+ hp. In an NM fight where the mob hits you for at least 400 per hit and occasionally aoe, your 1k mp pool will not last that long.
Think about playing paladin back in ffxi, you reserved your mp for flash and cure IV mostly. Ok, now think if you have to waste 20-30 mp every time you do a double attack. In the end, without a way to get refresh, you will not have enough for flash and cure IV and you will lose hate and get your mages killed if you don't die first.
buy a gun...
Wait?! You are complaining all over without even giving it a try?!?!Oh yeah, cause my opinion doesn't count because SE made a crappy updater. That makes sense. And I have to experience the suck first hand before I can comment on the verifiable math of it? Oh man, you're hopeless.
but I did log in so I don't see your point. Also, this is just the first step towards making the actual battle system. This is the foundation. Yoshida, the community reps and the devs have stressed this as much as they could, THIS IS NOT HOW THE BATTLE SYSTEM WILL REMAIN. I'm sorry, but if people are seriously thinking of quitting because the MP cost is too high for them, currently, in an unfinished battle system, then they need to grow up...If you didn't play the game today, and I don't mean just log on just to see w/e then log off, you have no right to talk about your opinions on how good the update is based on what you read on the patch notes alone.
