Wait, you're telling me you can't 5-7 man the dungeon? You poor soul...
The dungeon is so easy that you could miss 1 healer, 1 tank, and a DPS to the cutscenes and still easily come out on top on the bosses, even Ultima when he's about to self-destruct.

A tank and healer worth their salt could probably duo the place. There's no way the cutscenes are going to take so long that ALL 6 DPS are going to be still in them when the last boss starts casting Ultima. And even if they were, that would mean the Tank has enough dps that he could get it down quick enough (but thats an impossibility). But that leads to an interesting fact. The last cutscene before Ultima Weapon always puts you IN the arena. That means you can't be locked out, which means it was intended for people to be able to start the fight with players in the CS and join in once they are done.
That's what Free Companies are for. I went through CM and PR with my Free Company after I hit 50. I didn't go into a DF with all random strangers. And we watched the cutscenes. So why can't everyone else? I mean if there is so many against skipping cutscenes (newbie or not), there should be enough of you to make a Linkshell or Free Company that are willing to help each other. I mean I do it with my FCmates.
There's a tendency for the people in this game's community to point fingers at others for being 'part of the problem' yet they refuse by their own inaction to be 'part of the solution'. Hypocritical if you ask me.
Me? I compromise. I tell the ones in the group complaining about those watching the cutscenes to shut it and let them watch. But I let them continue as long as one healer and one tank are available. If both tanks are new (I usually queue healer, so what the other healer does doesn't matter, I can solo heal easily), then we wait. But as long I as I have a tank who's willing to go in while the others watch, then we go in and complete.
Most newbies are fine with that. I stick up for them, they appreciate it and they let me have my quick instance run while they enjoy the cutscenes. That my friends is how a community is SUPPOSED to work. You compromise. Everyone gives in a little. My runs take about 5-10 min longer depending on how many want to watch, and they get to watch. Its a win win situation.
But yet we have people that say -I- am wrong. They won't give an inch. Who's the bad guy now?
